you back off like a mature person, people cannot help who they are attracted to. if he isn't attracted to you then why should you be upset that he likes someone else, it isn't that you or your best friend did anything. This boy just likes the other person. Be mature, there will be many boys who like you, find one and be happy, your heart will mend quickly. Don't be a jealous friend.
