I've been ill for two days and now I have a tingly feeling above my lips. Its slightly red and not really that visible yet. I've had it before when I was younger, but I wasnt sure whether it was a cold sore or not because it formed all the way around my mouth. When I was younger it was exactly like it is now but it got worse because it then turned into this ring of dry, tingly scabby-looking thing around my mouth. So does anyone know what I have? And will it go away soon? What should I do to treat it?

I don't know what you had years ago. If you have a bump on your lip or slightly above and it's tingly, that sounds like a cold sore. Try Abreva--it is supposed to dry things out and heal them faster. The sooner the better.

It sounds very, very much like a cold sore. Ask your mother to go get you some Abreva or some CarMex. Either one will stop it from getting out of control.
