I am doing most of the classics, with a few twists thrown in. I am not having nearly the crowd that I had last year, so I am going easy on myself, for once! For appetizers, I am doing shrimp cocktail, roasted asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, liver pate', and a cheese and sausage plate. For Dinner, it's butternut squash soup, a brined and roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with Parmesan, Brussels sprouts with shallots and garlic, cranberries and brandy. For Dessert, it's cherry pie and pumpkin pie. Nice and simple this year! Happy Holidays!

I asked my butcher on Friday if they would be doing turkey drums and legs and he said they are not about any more. He did say he would enquire to see if they could be available.
Last year they had cooked portions the following day.
Failing that I suppose I will have to make do with on of those pressed turkey meat rolls.
