Great Question. I hear your doubt. Please don't delete this question because I spent ages answering a withdrawn question. I have a good definitinition for false: inappropriate to reality or facts. This also serves as a description for the concept of God. The reality is that there are only FALSE Gods. There is no evidence for any God that would stand up in a court of law or under scientific scrutiny. God is a fiction. Live with it. Embrace aethism. Be free. Carpe Deum

The Bible clearly states there is only ONE God. The first commandments prohibits the worship of any other god. Christians, Jews, and Muslims all say they worship the true God. Cults and other religions all have their own gods. So then a false God would be any other god than the True God. To worship the True God is to be "one" with him. You like what he likes and you hate what he hates.

Anything you worship over God, any teaching other than The doctrine, a false Idol, you can worship money, drugs, alcohol, pride, like they say the road to God is narrow and the other road is broad, just look at all the things we could put above God, we our to put nothing above The Lord, and we are to love each other as The Lord loves us, not money, or material possessions, or some false prophet, but Our Creator, Our Father, who loves us, and sent His Only Son Jesus Christ for us so that we may be saved from our sins.

Worship of Mars, Baal, Ashteroth, wood, stone gods made up by man are examples...of false gods...Others attempt to Deify themselves and want other people to Worship them as god. the Egyptians and Romans worshipped the Pharoahs and the Cesars in by gone times. We sometimes encounter Meglamaniacs that think they are gods. It's a Mental Illness.

First - you must define what a god is. According to m-w.com, god is:
1. the supreme or ultimate reality: as a: the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe.
Therefore, if a being is:
1) The supreme reality;
2) Perfect in Power, Wisdom, and Goodness;
3) Is worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe;
then, that being is a true god.
If a being does not meet the three tests above, but calls itself or is called by others a god, then it is a false god.
Make sense?

A false god is what they called an idol god because it is not real and a human made it themselves and worship a statue. A real God is God, Jesus Christ my savior. He have helped and is helping me and my family through so much. I have seen and read about people being healed, deliver, and set free just by the name of God. He is so awesome. Just accept him in your life.

Any attempt to personify spiritual values is ultimately false - as much so as personification of the wind or the sea - but for those who believe in such things,they are not being false in their hearts; on the contrary,most are quite sincere. They are just a little old-fashioned. I strive to avoid harshness in my responses to to theists. Besides,I used to be one myself. And it once meant a great deal to me. I don't think it's good to go around trampling on other people's feelings and beliefs. I personally take a positive approach and emphasize what I believe instead of denouncing others for their beliefs.

Well, false God is an opinion. For me there is only one, so any other would be false TO ME. But my God gives people a choice, and so do I.
I can only tell people about Jesus, what they do with it is thier own choice. And I just pray they make a Good one =)
