rukiddin is correct. I am saved from death, not from any person. I am also saved from an eternity in hell - a fate of which we are *all* deserving - not any person.

Consider a judge who creates a law outlawing murder. The penalty is death. As long as you are obedient to that law, the judge will not order your execution. Are you being saved (from execution) by the judge that "saved" you, or are you being saved by the knowledge that the penalty for murder is death? Is it a mafia protection racket?

Not really sure exactly what you're asking, but will take a stab at it. If you're talking about how some people who call themselves Christians and are still breaking the law; they are called 'Backsliders' and will NOT be saved if they remain in their sin. As GOD commands in the New Testament: Mat 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

They are supposed to be subject to the civil laws the same as anyone else. When they break man's laws, they are breaking GOD'S laws even though they try to use the bible to justify their crimes.

I have not been saved from God. I have been saved from myself. I was no more capable of walking with God than you are. My power to bring about my own fellowship with Him was the same as yours. You are walking on dangerous ground, for the conversation rapidly turns from the ability to name-call to the more reasonable approach of self examination.

No, honey, you've got it wrong. We are not saved FROM he who saved us. We are saved from an eternity of not knowing and being in the presence of God. Jesus saved us from that hell. Get it?
