Contact a synagogue near you (they're generally easiest to contact Monday - Thursday), and make an appointment with their rabbi. He/she will help you go through the process. Be prepared to be turned away three times; it's a tradition designed to be SURE that this is what you want to do. Also be aware that the process generally takes at least a year, and requires a lot of study. That's not to discourage you - just to keep you from getting in a big rush :-)
There are a couple of books that I think you might like to read (and you will be doing a LOT of reading if you choose to convert). The first is "Choosing Judaism," by Lydia Kukoff. She is a "Jew by Choice," and wrote about her experiences in the conversion process. The other is "Choosing a Jewish Life," by Anita Diamant. It's also an excellent resource for your family when they have questions.
I'll include some links below to give you a way to contact synagogues of the various branches of Judaism. I converted to Judaism about 10 years ago, and it has been the best thing I ever did!
Good luck!

My bf is Jewish and that i take place to be Catholic granted at the same time as we the two are not super religious we the two admire each and every others religious backgrounds because of the fact in any different case we probable would not be relationship lol besides i think of and that i'm specific my better half might agree that which faith is chosen with the aid of the mother and dad must be the only that is practiced extra heavily. plus little ones dont must be raised Jewish if the be sure desires to circumcise their baby. have you ever puzzled the clarification in the back of baptism why human beings do it. Its meant to be the attractiveness of Jesus because of the fact the youngster's lord and saviour, that's honestly meant for older little ones and adults. i think of you ought to learn what you are able to approximately baptism then ask your better half if he understand why babies get baptized only to be sure if he knows. If it appears that evidently like some thing you opt to do to your baby then do it. yet another theory that must be taken is are you going to wed him? because of the fact if the respond is not any then his ideals won't count lots because of the fact the youngster would be raised with the aid of you

As DancesWithWolves said, get in touch with a rabbi near you and become involved with the Jewish community. Judaism is much more than a religion -- you must become a part of the community (family). The conversion process never ends -- Judaism is a culture of learning and living up to one's potential here on this earth rather than a culture of "personal" salvation. As Jews, we have obligations for each other as well as obligations to God and to all others.
I enjoyed these books:
"Judaism for Everyone" by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach
"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Judaism" by Rabbi Benjamin Blech
"This is My God" by Herman Wouk
