college. I have a decent job but things are not stable enough to raise a child in. My partner is not ready for a child and wants to wait. Has anyone else experienced their biological clock ticking a little too early? And how do I suppress this desire? It has gotten to be depressing.

I also miscarried last year, and have previously had an abortion. I dont know if these may contribute to my feelings.

lol and I did also get a puppy when this feeling first began arising. It is a great experience but not fulfilling.

Your previous experiences are probably contributing, but you might benefit from finding more purpose in your life- that might be what you are really craving. It would be a mistake to bring a child into the world unless you are ready to provide a safe and stable home for him.

Find something else you can be passionate about, and your feelings will fade to a level you can deal with. I have always wanted to be a mother, but I never got to the point that I was depressed because I wasn't.

Good luck, feel better. It will pass.

all things in good time. sounds like you're a very responsible person and will make a great parent when you're ready.

want to come over and babysit? :-) maybe hanging out with a colicky baby, changing some poopy diapers, or handling a toddler with an earache-induced temper tantrum will give you the patience to last till you're ready. :-)
