How cut and dry would it be to give a people a set of laws and rules without any explanation of these said laws and rules? I mean how would you study to find out with free will if these laws and rules are right for you, without the bible it would be cut and dry giving you little room for rejection of thought. It would be basically be here these are my commandments do them or die. Instead we have a loving God that realizes that all of his commandments have been broken, he gave us the Bible, scribed by man, inspired by God, as a guidebook to help us on our way through life. However some choose just to stumble through life on their own with no map and no idea of where they are going or how they even got to this point.

God did NOT give "us" the ten commandments. He gave Israel the ten commandments which is the core of the old covenant.

What makes you think you or others are required to keep the conditions of a covenant you and others were never a party to?

If I buy a car, and the covenant/contract says I have to pay $400 a month for it until it is paid for, are you going to make the payments for me? Think about it.

You are mistaken! The Bible did come from Him, in a way that is often referred to as 'Inspired'.

If you ever read the Bible, especially the prophets, they often say, "This is what the Lord said", and then it gets proven right!

That's like being given keys by the car dealer and asking him why you need the automobile. After all, you *already* have the keys.
