Arrogant to the point that they can't admit they are wrong even when faced with evidence that they are wrong. That they can't admit that they will not consider alternate possibilites, but still claim to be "open minded". Is this what gives them the ability to deny God outright, that they have this arrogance about them that is greater then any other emotion or trait in them?
If you want to know where this is coming from, you will have to do a little reading of my two past questions:

Wow...you guys really don't get my point here. Where was it that I said that because 1+1=1, then God exist?
The point of the question was not to ask if it was valid or not...it was to see who can open their mind to different possibilities. This is something that atheists pride themselves on...but never seem to do it. That is the point right there, nothing more. All these angry comments just goes to show that it is true that atheists arrogance does not like to be challenged.

See, the problem with this is you're trying to prove God's existence with algebra... Don't you know that algebra is even more confusing than religion?
And speaking as an Atheist, I am not arrogant, I'm defensive. Because every time I say to a Christian that I don't believe in God, they act like there is something fundamentally screwed up in my head. They can't see how anyone can't believe in God, therefore I'm flawed. They can't offer proof although they say they do; they can't offer understanding although they think telling me I'm wrong is the same thing; they think I'm just being stubborn by "refusing" to see the "truth"; they repeatedly act like they are the ones being persecuted because I choose to stand up for myself and not let Christianity take over the country and do away with my rights as a citizen... Shall I go on?
So all the math in the world isn't going to prove God is real to me until you people start acting like you actually believe in the things Jesus taught and treating others with some respect and civility. Live the example, don't just shout it at me.

There is NO proof of God! Nothing! Zip! Nada! Zero!
Why should we admit we are wrong when there is no proof
Can you prove that there aren't little green aliens in my fridge right now? Does that mean that there are?
Just because you use some trick to make 1+1 equal 1 does NOT mean that all Atheists are stupid and ignorant!

You cannot classify all atheists by the povs of one or two, and obviously this is your opinion of them. The same goes for evidence that they are "wrong." Someone can't be wrong or right when it comes to different beliefs. Atheists are more than likely going to think you are wrong and you will think they are wrong nearly every time. This does not mean they are not "open-minded."

I appreciate your attempts to think outside the box.
But math and logic are right in the atheist wheelhouse. You used inadequate symbols and claimed that that said something about the comprehension of your users. You might as well try to sneak a hanging curve past David Ortiz.

Your past questions involved symbols in uses that many people are not familiar with. You need to define your terms before any discussion can begin. Expecting everyone else to know what you mean without telling them is the height of arrogance.
Anyway, atheists are arrogant for the same reasons theists are.

Most atheists were religious at some point in their lives. They had Jesus in their hearts and then they realized that that junk didn't make any sense. So they did do some research and some reasoning. Then they realized it was all a bunch of hog wash. Just because we didn't care about doing your math homework doesn't prove we are not open minded.

If someone claims to "know" that a deity exists, and that they have a book which allows them to speak for this deity, how could anyone be more arrogant?
Your questions, again, are not tests of open mindedness, only tests of familiarity with relatively obscure formal systems.

I'm supposed to believe in a magical invisible man living forever in space-heaven because some guy who claims 1+1=1 told me so? Maybe that's why we're so arrogant...

You are claiming that we (atheists) are wrong and you (the christian) are right....and you call atheists arrogant? Not very 'christian-like'. Tisk tisk. Shame on you.
Edit: You are so full of crap stating it had nothing to do with disbelief. You wouldn't have directed your question towards atheists if it wasn't. You act as if atheists are a different breed. Welcome to earth, we're all HUMAN.
