I went to Walmart today and they were charging $536 for a Remington 700 SPS 30-06.

MSRP is $604

I was just wondering if this price sounds fair... Has anyone gotten their SPS for cheaper?

For a big box retailer, it sounds about right. Now it might be a little on the high side - it's only a 68 dollar savings. But on the other hand they don't order thousands of those guns either which would normally warrent a bigger discount.

You might be able to shop other big box stores and get maybe 20 or so knocked off. But I don't think it will be too much more.

But it's a fair price --- cheaper than any gunshop

Shop around. Bass Pro, Gander. They have some of the best prices as long as smaller shops around town don't put a lot of pressure on them with sales. But that price is definitely fair.

That is a decent price. You can check around some other outlets, but here in MN that is a great price.

Nice Weapon too!

That is about as cheap as you're going to get.
