Human law is structured to declare innocence before proving guilt. Because of this, many criminals have leveraged human law to accomodate loopholes to gain freedom from their crimes. Case in point, an 81 year old man, pled guilty to only ONE count of molestation, when in fact he's been on the run molesting since 1968 to multiple victims: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20071016-9999-1m16drach.html
Because of our current system, he got away not admitting guilt on MANY instances of molestation. If this man had found God early on, his addictive, perverted urges towards children would have been cleaved under the blood of Jesus! His actions would have then been dictated under the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. But this was not the case. He fell victim to the stronghold of pedophelia and followed the lusts of his fallen flesh, rather than seek the face of God for moral guidance and a holy lifestyle. In the divine court of God, this man will receive the ultimate penalty and punishment for His crimes, which human law failed to provide. God's Law does not accomodate or provide loopholes for carnality or sins like the one mentioned. And that is the basis, I believe, of all moral law.
God Keep Blessing you sister!

"Where does intolerance end and tolerance begin?"
I often wonder that myself when believers of a religion/faith show an incredible amount of intolerance to Atheists, homosexuals, and believers of other religions.
"So if the bible is not your guideline what is?"
Society, experience, law, and prudence
"do you tolerate everything?"
If it doesn't hurt me and nobody has been refused their basic human rights then, yes, I will tolerate it.
"maybe we should put people in Jail because they have locks on their doors and don't tolerate thieves?"
That isn't tolerance.That's stupidity.
"Where do you get your standards if not from God?"
I answered that already when asked almost the same question above in reference to the Bible.
"where do they come from?"
Humanity, history, and societal invention.
"Without God and his word don't you think Man is just like the beasts?"
Just about. Our separation only stems from our abilities, such as to reason. But we are much like animals without our ability to reason. We all have instinctive natures.
"I have seen lots of people have domestic dogs who will eat all the food in the bowl and leave none for anybody else."
Which only furthers my point that animals such as dogs can't reason and only act on the instinctive nature they are born with.We have that same instinctive nature but usually act on reason. There are some dogs who do, however, live in packs and share food. They even have leaders who eat first which shows that dogs have the ability to reason to a degree.

People have morals because we live in a civilised society, and because if we don't follow those moral rules, society rejects us. It's as easy as that. Is really god the only thing that gives you a moral behaviour?
My standards are simple: I don't do to others what I don't want done to me. I always put myself in other people's shoes.
As for tolerance, I tolerate anything that doesn't affect me or other people. A guy can do whatever he likes insite his home as long as I won't feel any negative effects of it

This question has been asked and answered a billion times. If you actually think you need a book to tell you not to indiscriminately kill everybody you see, then you don't have morals or values.
As for the thing about putting people in jail for not tolerating thieves...wow. Just...wow. Maybe you DO need the Bible. Personally, I have common sense and a conscience, and that's enough for me.

Morals come from the society we live in,If you look at the world most morals are the same regardless of the dominant religion, for regular society those same morals are nearly the same for society's that existed long before Christianity. Why do you have such a low opinion of humans, you don't think most people would be decent without a god.It seems odd tha those of us that think we came from animals are most likely to believe we are capable of great things without Divine intervention, and those that think we came from the Divine think we will be animals with out your religion .

Why do standards have to come from God? Wouldn't it be better if a person was nice just for the sake of being nice, instead of doing it because they were told to?
If you really want an answer to your question, and aren't just ranting, take some time and read up on Kantian Ethics. there's a whole world out there, if you'll only take the time to see it.

Even someone who is an athiest (though I am not) can still advocate being kind. It's live and let live. It's basic human decency. It's knowing that what goes around comes around. It's understanding that in order for all of us to live in this world together peacefully, we have to get along. There are remote areas of the world where the people have their own beliefs, and they don't necessarily believe in one God. But they still understand that living in harmony means working together with each other, not against each other, and supporting each other. I think it's just inherent in us as humans, even to those who don't realize that God put it there.

Grace & Peace unto you from God & Son Unlimited.
R&S=Spirituality, so then let's compare the S & S;
Compare spiritual things(laws) with spiritual(grace).
Law is not sufficient. It's fault-finding & imperfect.
It's the thief that cometh only to steal, kill, destroy.
No man is justified by the law in the sight of God.
Grace is sufficient. It's perfect and also merciful.
It's not any under-taker of life, but an over-giver.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all.
Amen.

They are both taught in the home.
Intolerance breeds intolerance. An intolerant parent will have an intolerant child...
Some people, though, have the ability to see past their parents intolerance and take on their own world view. That's how tolerance starts.....and will be taught to the next generation....
EDIT: If you need to read from an archaic book full of arcane scripture, in order to be good....you scare me....

I wish people were like the beasts . They have been using the world for millions of years , and preserved it for all the generations to come . Then came the naked ape and destroyed the earth for himself and all the other innocent "beasts" .
If this is what we got from "god" , then he the lowest type of ah-soul .
