Depends. Has it worked for you in the past? Have conditions changed? Etc.

It's that "Have conditions changed?" bit that a lot of "religious" people pretend not to get. Why don't the rules invented by a tribe of nomadic savages thousands of years ago and thousands of miles away still apply to us here in 21st century America? I don't get it!

Of course, the alternative is moral relativism!

Do you mean ONLY because it's what I've always done? Usually yes, because most of it is inconsequential, like I always start brushing my teeth on the top right side of my mouth. The only reason is because I've always done it that way, that I can remember. There's no real reason to change. I put my keys in my left pocket and my phone in my right for no other reason than it's what I've always done.

Now should I continue to worship the same way simply because it's what I've always done? No. I have plenty of other reasons why I continue on that course.

It depends on what that thing is. If you've just found out that something you've done for years is dangerous to your health, or morally objectionable, or a bad habit that you honestly didn't realize you had, then stopping might be a good idea! LOL But if it's just a tradition that is harmless, why stop?

Depends.
Should you always order Chicken Lo Mein? no, you should try something new.
Should you continue to exercise regularly? Yes, it's really healthy.
Should you keep on working for a cigarette company that you found is on the black market? No, because they are making taxes go higher.

I will continue doing what I've been doing as long it continues to get me what I want. When that behavior no longer gets me what I want, its time to try a new behavior or adjust my wants.

Never for that reason alone (if it's an important issue that is). You need to analyze what you're doing and make sure there's a good reason to contiunue it. If there is then you should. If not, you abandon it.

Only if you expect the same results. Mark Twain said something like this.

If you had adequately justified the behavior to begin with... yes, though one should always consider better possible courses of action.

If it is something that helps you through certain hard times, yes. Otherwise, I'd say no, better to try new things to learn more.
