I haven't been for a while. The last time I went was for a wedding. Unfortunately the females in my family/relations don't go very often, they pray at home. I would love to go more often.

Last time: For Eid prayers. I'd love to go more often and really need to start doing that. My husband goes at least once a day and I'd tag along but I don't like the women at the masjid he goes to (God forgive me!)...and yes, I know we go for prayer not for other people but if I could just pray at home I don't see why I should go where I quite frankly don't feel welcomed. Besides that it doesn't have a good women's area at all. There are two little rooms 4 women the size of my tiny apartment bathroom and we are all smooshed in there. They don't turn the AC on and I almost passed out once --Hello! We are in TX, the mosque has AC and being in such a cramped area is suffocating. It's 15 minutes away but there are a couple of other mosques that are 15 min away in other directions. I try to get my husband to go to those with me but he likes where he goes and I rarely go to them alone. Alhamdulillah for Eid we go to another masjid alltogether as not all the masjids have Eid prayer.

I don't go to masjid and have never been to one (minus the time we went to Masjid Saad to get my Shadah certificate), I sat outside in the car. I learn by studying on my own and if I have questions ask my husband or ask my brother-in-law who has collected I think all or most of the Sahih Hadeeth.

Well, the last time I went to the Masjid was, unfortunately, for my dad's funeral when we went to pray on him. I can honestly tell you that I would never want to enter the Masjid for that reason again. May Allah forgive him and have mercy on his soul.

InshAllah the next time I go would be for prayer only.

I am in the unfortunate position of being the only Muslim within hundreds of miles. The closest Islamic Center is in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have yet to visit a Masjid although I have embraced my faith for over a year now.

I get lessons and fellowship from wonderful brothers and sister living in Pakistan, New York, South Carolina. Praise Allah for the Internet in my case.

Salam

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.

Insha'Allah, I was blessed by Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala by being able to go to the masjid twice today, once for jummaah, and once for a halaka where we also met with some non-Muslim guest. The sisters made dinner for us all (Turkish, Egyptian, Middle Eastern foods, with apple juice to drink...Alhumdulillah!) My daughter went with me and we will go back tomorrow, insha'Allah and hopefully on Sunday morning, insha'Allah.

The masjid is only about twenty two miles from my house in another town.

Ma;a salaam.

The last time I went was when I reverted to Islam and took my son along. I don't pray in the Masjid.

alhamduallah! manila, philippines although the general population are christians have small masjid every where now, some even not more than 2 kilometres apart. So, it's not an excuse for me not to be able to go to one when schedules allow me specially when i'm assigned outside, sometimes, when i don't have enough money for the fare,i could easily walk for 30 minutes going to one.
one problem is, most are maranao muslims, and the khutbah is in their dialect which i can not comprehend.

Assalaam Alaykum Sister

Sadly Im in the same position as you, but remember a women's prayer is far better at home, although if she goes to the mosque that is good too (",)

So don't feel sad (like I used to before) as I have come to understand one can still gain a closerness to Allah (swt) even within their own homes (",)

I have not been since Eid. It is not bc we do not like to go but we have a baby (4 months old mashAllah) and he cries and is very fussy so he makes it hard for me to pray and concentrate and everyone else as well. So we just pray at home and he is fine here alhumdullah. We do not get to go to Jumah ever bc my husband is not home at that time and I do not go out without my husband ever.
