Well I'm a Christian, and I love the books. Because I've got a brain and I can distinguish fact from fiction. So I am going to see the film too! I think my faith is strong enough to cope.

As far as I can tell, Christians are advertising against it because of it's anti-faith bias. The books were written by an atheist who definitely put his bias into the storyline. It may have great special affects but it is not a great story.

For the same reason that atheists so heavily advertised "The Passion" a couple of years back.

Because, according to a website, god is distroyed at the end of it and everyone just does what they want. It was written by an atheist and christians don't like him for that.

Yep. Christians are all about advertising that film. I think it's because its creator was a devout Christian.. *stifles a laugh*

Because of fear and misunderstanding of what they truly fear in their own lives.

JK Rowling got this and now it is the turn of Philip Pullman. Which is really sad.

I guess its a case of the green eyed monster sitting on their shoulder!

you know, I do not know a Christian that would advertise that, or an athiest who would jump at the chance to put a Christian down. But in the end the athiest will be grounded in shock and it will be too late. That is not the way when I would want to come, when it is too late. Your oppourtunity is now.

I didn't know they did...from what I have heard from people who have read the books, in sequels it becomes a bit questionable

Yes in deed, We want to make sure everyone knows about it. That way no one can be fooled into its lies. What you do with your children is up to you, what we do with ours is up to us. If we chose to make sure we do not do bussiness with anyone having anthing to do with this 'movie' its only 185,000,000 lost sales, no bid deal.
