In MS Word 2007:
You can quickly and easily sort the text of a one-level bulleted or numbered list so that the text is in alphabetical order.
Select the text in a bulleted or numbered list.
On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Sort.
In the Sort Text dialog box, under Sort by, click Paragraphs and Text, and then click either Ascending or Descending.

Word can do it but MS Excel is the easiest way to do it. If your list is already typed open it in MS word. Convert the list to table by selecting it and click Table-Convert to table. Copy the table into Excel and use Data -Sort function.

Excel can do it pretty easily. Spreadsheets normally have this function.

start up with 'A'. in case you have words initiating with a similar letter (aardvark), then circulate directly to the subsequent letter, 'a', 'b', 'c' and so on. in case you do no longer understand the alphabet, circulate lower back to grade a million. It are not getting no much less demanding. DUH!
