The pre-911 geo-political deal to destroy America's military and deliver the globe to the New World Communists?
Posted by Royal Dutch Shell Plc.com at April 6th, 2007

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Despite claims by some critics that the Bush administration invaded Iraq to take control of its oil, the first contracts with major oil firms from Iraq’s new government are likely to go not to U.S. companies, but rather to companies from China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

While Iraqi lawmakers struggle to pass an agreement on exactly who will award the contracts and how the revenue will be shared, experts say a draft version that passed the cabinet earlier this year will likely uphold agreements previously signed by those countries under Saddam Hussein’s government.

“The Chinese could announce something within the next few months” if all goes well with the oil law, said James Placke, a senior associate at Cambridge Energy Research Associates who specializes in the Middle East.

Because China has a strict policy of non-intervention in other country's foreign policies. (Something the U.S might want to try out for a while). I think the Chinese have realized that you cant be blamed for the crisis in another country if u dont send 150,000 troops and aircraft carriers to the region.

If you wanted to do business, would you prefer the customer who comes to meet you as an equal dressed in a business suit, or would you want to do business with the customer who pulls up in a Ford F150, with a shotgun slung over his shoulder and tries to convince you that you have nothing to fear if you conduct the transaction in a "reasonable" manner.

In Iraq's case, if the US can claim to have not attacked Iraq for its oil and claim to maintain a purely altruistic purpose for invading Iraq, then both Chinese and American companies should have a pure and fair market-driven competition for Iraq oil resources. If the US attempts to leverage its military invasion and "liberation" of Iraq to gain an unfair advantage for Iraqi resources, then the U.S is no different from Germany and Japan in the 40s, and Russia in the 50s who invaded militarily inferior countries for resources and deserve to be vilified and opposed by the world as the former were.

The neo-cons argue that they only pursue aggressive policies of intervention in cases of countries with oppressive governments and regimes. Agreed, each country is at varying stages in their quests for good governance. (In fact, the last time I checked, the US government has been a bit too white, male and Christian to be a true representation of the American people). Nevertheless, that argument falls apart when you consider the US support for Saudi Arabia, Mubarak in Egypt, Musharaf in Pakistan, Ethiopia, the Shah in Iran in the 60s and 70s, Saddam in the 80s, and Osama bin Laden in the 80s etc.. the list goes on. Evidently, a regime's lack of good governance and domestic oppression only becomes an issue if the respective regime doesn't support current US policy.

D. I don't agree with your answer, a life is a life and to answer your question David, remember now Russia and China now are budding relations, and both of the countries hate the U.S., also I think Russia and Iran are also allies so, having those three together forms some kind of triangle and they would help each other out if there was any conflict, I don't know if there are any relations between China and Iran, but it does seem possible.

Because the Chinese wouldn't waste their time on countries such as Iraq since they're not a great threat to them. Unless terrorism in China rises dramatically, China will not waste their time and provoke animosity amongst the Middle East. Also, they receive the majority of their oil there. Also, why would they fight for an American cause?

What's yoru problem with that? China and other nations had contracts that were legally binding in place before the illegal invasion of Iraq by the US headed "coalaiton of the willing". Since your president keeps on telling the world that Iraq now has a democratc government they are simply exercising their democratic right and obligations under international law to honour existing contractual obligations. Understand it now do you?

China does not want to meddle in international affairs and it is the reason why its economy is booming while other countries like the US is busy spending trillions of dollars with Iraq.
