But actually now that you mention it, rhinocerous makes sense, because a lot of the verses talk about their strength ans stubborness... I hadn't thought about that one, and I got these from a website called bibledonkeys.com come, I am sorry I forgot to mention that, but I ran out of room and then had to answer the phone, so I didn't get a chance.

As for the dinosaur thing, We know god created them because of the overwhelming number of fossiles of dino bones, I don't think I hafve ever seen an acutal honest to goodness non photoshopped picture of an actual unicorn (besides rinos) be they goats horses or whatever. Sure there are deformed animals that LOOK like what a unicorn may, but they are rare and cannot be called their own species of animal.

The dodo bird must have never existed, its too bad there are drawings and historical accounts of it, but I don't believe it be true because i can't see it in my backyard. That way of thinking doesn't really cut it, don't you think? There are many animals that have went extinct over the years. If you read up about unicorns, you will find out according to eyewitness accounts that an animal that was in every aspect like a unicorn actually did exist, often even with a single horn in the forehead. Where do you think myths come from? Is it one day someone just said draw a horn on that horses head and call it a unicorn. I doubt it. The Dragons is not a problem at all. First off Dinosaurs lived during the same time as man did, and so did all types of dragons. Now probably not like the dragons you'd see in a fairy tale. But large dragonlike dinosaurs probably plagued man for quite some time, partially responsible for their extinction was their inability to cohabitate with man. Explain to me why most every civilization has stories of dragon like creatures, cave paintings and such. was it because they all had very vivid imaginations? Or possibly that they or their relatives had seen the dragons themselves and passed on stories. Explain finding a bone of a t-rex that has soft tissue still remaining as well as red blood cells. Did that supposedly stay preserved for 140 million years ? Google it if you don't believe me, and google unicorns while your at it. Try to educate yourself on all sides of the story and not just the one you are partial to. I studied evolution and creation in great detail, and still do. And creation is a much more logical conclusion.

Too cool. I looked it up too (just the first one) No 'wrong' translation. We have the image of a unicorn from history way back for a reason. The Leviathan existed too, and was a great nasty beast that no longer exists, like the dragon, fire breathing and everything. Unfortunately people pick and choose, distort and add to the Bible. Take the Word for the Word with the counsel of the Spirit and you will know the truth. Unicorns were and are unicorns, just as dragons are dragons and the behemoth ( brachiosaur) Job saw was just that. Humans hunted the poor things into extinction, just like the dodo bird and the dragon.

This is the explanation from Isaac Asimov He was not a believer by any means
The Hebrew word represented in the King James Version by “unicorn” is re’em, which undoubtedly refers to the wild ox (urus or aurochs) ancestral to the domesticated cattle of today. The re’em still flourished in early historical times and a few existed into modern times, although it is now extinct. It was a dangerous creature of great strength and was similar in form and temperament to the Asian buffaloes.

Well God also created the dinosaur and they aren't any of those anymore are there? He probably did create a unicorn but who knows what it really looked like. And we probably dont have them anymore bacause they died out after the flood. Just like the dinosaurs. The climate was very different after the flood so maybe they couldnt live.
O and btw for the person that said the Bible mentions dragons and they didnt exsist......did you know that the word dinosaur was not invented until the 1800's? What do you think they called them before that.......maybe...dragons???

I could be childish and say we don't know unicorns didn't exist but I won't.
The Bible is referring to those weird-looking animals, I forget what they're called, with the horn on their snout. Maybe I'm thinking of a rhinocerous. That's all unicorn means-one horn. Only in fairly modern times have people referred only to a horse with a horn a unicorn.

Some of these passages are poetry; I don't know anybody who expects poetry to be interpreted the same way as prose. But since these passages are from Hebrew scripture, you might get more guidance by looking at what rabbinical scholars say on the subject instead of kjv. King James Version is considered some of the most beautiful writing of the English language, but it's not always the best translation. Best to you on this.

Most translations I've read mention that translating is a human effort in the introduction and could have errors. That doesn't mean that the original Hebrew and Greek are incorrect.
That's a good reason to read several translations.
Having said that, I think they do a really good job for the most part and the main idea gets across.

Because the kjv has mistranslated the hebrew word rei'im to mean unicorn, tossing in a carrot for the pagan (hey pagans, come believe...see the bible mentions a mythological beastie....woohoo). The word rei'im mean a horned animal...whose identity is unknown...but whose horns are considered a source of pride. this could be any horned animal from a rhino to a narwhal.
