Great point. Or a better question, how is evolution true if they have only studied it for 150 years? Obviously something can't exist until science studies it. heck, the heart is only a few thousand years old. Until the Egyptians started taking organs out of people, humans were filled with cotton candy.
If by some chance this is an actual question: Time has been studied for more then 100 years. And the age of the earth is not up for debate. The science behind the age of the earth is as concrete as the science behind gravity.

Really? Galileo's work on the pendulum had nothing to do with time?
We have three independent measures of the age of the solar system: the percent of fuel burned in the Sun and it's rate of fuel consumption, the rate of cooling of the Earth corrected for the decay of radioisotopes, and the isotopic composition of meteors. All come in around 4.5 billion years.

Its called TECHNOLOGY.
The computer your using would not be here without a scientific mind using trial and error to make a very efficent machine.
There is something called radiometric dating. If it didn't work the way it was supposed to, then it would have been thrown out the scientific window many years ago.

Carbon dating, for one.
The earth is new compared to the universe itself. Generally, the farther a galaxy is from the planet Earth, the faster it is receding from our position. Knowing this, one can trace back the position (and speed and time) of objects forwards and backwards. It's mathematics, really.
