If that's your picture in your profile, you look just fine. Don't start obsessing about weight just on the idea that it will make you more attractive to boys. That's how an eating disorder starts. It ends with you looking like a corpse and dying because you didn't get enough nutrition.
Eat a healthy balanced diet. Get exercise. Limit sodium, fat, processed foods, soda, and other junk food. Drink plenty of water. Do all that, and your body will naturally go to a healthy balanced weight.
But whatever you do, you are still so young that you will have a bit of natural 'puppy' fat which leaves you as you finish growing into an adult.

Losing weight is not the answer to finding a boyfriend. When you have friends that are girls they do not decide to befriend you based on your weight, and a boy who truly likes you for who you are will not base his relationship off of that either. Most importantly you should want to be healthy, not just lose weight. Start by eating good foods. Try to eat at lest 2 fruits a day and work those veggies in where you can. If you want, take a nice walk 20 or 30 mins a day a few times a week. If you do these things you will become healthy, you will become happier with yourself, and before you know it those boys will notice how happy you are and will want to be part of your life.
Please don't obsess about your weight or numbers, it will only cause you more grief than it is worth. Enjoy a healthy life, and keep smiling :)

i think its great that you want to lose weight, but you want it for the wrong reasons. you should want to lose weight because it's healthy not so someone will like you.
im in 9th grade. 5'' 1', 128pounds. im obviously chubby (nice words) but i have a boy friend.
i have been working on loseing weight too because i want to be healthy.
i gave up meat, it contributes to a large percent of your daily fat and its not very good for your poor arteries . dont stop eating meat unless you can get enough protein from other sources- soy, nuts, beans, ect
the bigest thing is to limit your daily calorie intake. for an 8th grade girl trying to loose weight, i'd say 1500 calories. buy 100 calorie packs for snaking, and special k makes some great stuff.
keep your food portions small.
the easiest thing to do is cut out unnesisary caloreis. for example, if you eat bread dont use butter, if you make a sandwich dont use mayo, if you eat veggies eat them raw.
good luck. make sure you stay healthy. and dont worry about boys so much yet, boyfriends are better in high school (and easier to get ;)
you rock

That's ridiculous! You are perfect the way you are. Never change anything about yourself for boys. Plus, it doesn't work. Even the hottest chicks get rejected sometimes.
There are even guys out there who find chicks who weigh 400 pounds very attractive.
My point is that there is a perfect person for everyone. If you change who you are and what you look like, how is your soul mate going to recognize you?

Do it for yourself, not for anyone else. The things that you might see as a flaw, just might turn out be the things that a boy may like about you. Yes! not all men or boys like skinny girls only...most like girls and/or women with some meat on their bones. I'm sure you are beautiful just the way you are.

First, determine if you are overweight. This is a helpful website. http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/dieting/bmi.html If you are overweight, diet and exercise is the only way to lose weight in good health. If you are not overweight, but think you are, you may have other health issues like bulemia. Good luck.

never EVER try to change anything about yourself to please others
I know how important having a boyfriend can be...but it is 1000 times more important to have people in your life because of who you are- not what you look like...
