what about if the true believers get together and organise a little lobby for replacing modern language classes with prayers to the paraclete?

jesus gave the gift of tongues to the apostles at pentecost, and followers of the elim creed get to speak french, spanish, russian, and even rasena at almost every prayer meeting.

so how's about it believers. lobby those school boards and tell them how the right kind of devotion will get all the students able to give the homehelp instructions in natural mexican.

knowing a foreign language has to be more use to a christian than some wobbly notions about the fossil record.

Yeah, Jonjon, because we all know Public Education in America is top notch.
I'm an Atheist and I'm considering home-schooling my son because I'm convinced I could do a much better job than an idiot teacher's union.

Still, well spoken, questioner. Tongues as a foreign language.. I do think that we should allow people to take a class on "Christianity" as an elective if they want. They're only hurting themselves. Not really that big of a deal. And in that Christianity class they can teach ID as opposed to the Science of evolution. Why isn't that a fair compromise? A more liberal Atheist perception.

There's a classroom aide at my daughters' public school who IS teaching it. Understandably, I am ticked but trust my daughter to reliably report to me what is said. IF this behavior continues, I will take stronger action than giving the aide a talking-to.

I've often thought that "having the gift of tongues " is the same as "talking bollocks"! But then I could be wrong.

Home school your kids if you want them to be idiots.

And my obvious point, 悪魔 ジューリイェンー殿堂 AM, is that as bad as our public school systems are, I don't see why we should hobble them further just to appease religious zealots.
