I was brought up to plant the garden by the astrological signs in the farmer's almanac; waxing and waning moon, etc. Nobody had a problem with this, although some believed it was effective and some didn't. People with nature-based spiritual beliefs, are you familiar with this? People who want to mock/condemn, go bother somebody else, this question's not for you.

Of course I do. Set out plants in a water or earth sign - Plant in the fruitful signs:Scorpio,Pisces,Taurus, or Cancer - Root flower cuttings when the signs are in the knees or feet.- plant beans when the signs are in the arms - Don't plant potatoes when the signs are in the arms or they will grow little toelike nubbins all over the main tuber.

Almost all farmers did this in the past. Most farmers today are college educated. Now they know it was just a superstition.

I think you may have confused astrological with astronomical.

Astrology is the signs of the Zodiac, astronomy is how the planet moves in relationship with other planets -- basically the seasons.
