You goof, that article was posted in June 2007, its now November 2007, after the October 31 statement. Xbox will not get Metal Gear Solid 4, it will not get Metal Gear Online, and all you might get is the variation Metal Gear Solid like Microsoft got the last generation. Microsoft never got the OFFICIAL game, they got stuff like Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance... not that actual Metal Gear Solid 2: Son's of Liberty.

360 Fans, drop the subject of getting Metal Gear Solid - I said DROP the subject.

"But they sai-"

"DROP THE FREAKING SUBJECT!"

Metal Gear Solid 4 is not coming out for the Xbox 360. Hideo Kojima (the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series) said at E3 that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be for the PS3 only. And on Oct. 31st 2007, Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a PS3 exclusive and they set the release date on MSG 4 back a little bit more to the Second Quarter of 2008.

Xbox 360 fanboys wish that they could get their hands on Metal Gear Solid 4. Their Xbox 360's will probably get the Red Ring of Death before Metal Gear Solid 4 even comes out!

Here is a link to Konami's Website stating that the MGS4 will be on the PS3 only:

Nothing official has been stated about MGS4 on the 360.

However, it's interesting to note that MGS DID eventually come out on the original Xbox.

Also, both Hideo and Konami have stated that games are getting so expensive to produce, that doing a console-exclusive game is getting harder and harder to do because an exclusive title may not get the sales needed to make the game profitable. Doing a multi-platform release would greatly increase the number of people who could buy the game, and hopefully, increase overall revenue generated by the game.

MGS4 will be an exclusive for the PS3 - but whether that remains the truth forever, or if a 360 port shows up 6-12 months later, remains to be seen.

they're exceptionally lots an identical equipment. comparable button setup, comparable video games, comparable portraits, the only genuine distinction is the exclusives and the internet play, that's thoroughly left to selection. on an identical time as you're able to pay an annoying month-to-month value for the 360, the PS3 has loose online plus a completely functioning internet browser for no value in any respect. The 360, even with the shown fact that, is greater orientated in the direction of merely gaming and has a internet emphasis with a vaster library of online video games, which consists of Halo and Gears of warfare, yet one greater 50 greenbacks a 300 and sixty 5 days to kill time in front of my television? No way. The PS3's greater desirable helpful properties contain the potential to play and save PS1 and 2 video games devoid of subject, that's a marvelous purchase, because of the fact the PS1 and 2 have the distinctive suited titles on the marketplace and are available in much less high priced. The 360 has unfavourable backwards compatability, so save your previous Xbox in case you have one or sell your previous video games because of the fact those would besides be frisbies! no longer counting backwards compatability, lots of the coolest video games are accessible for the two consoles, however the super video games are all unique. Going with the final consensus, the 360 has the better hand for now, yet with choose turning out to be between game enthusiasts in the direction of the PS3 immediately, this would stability out in a pair months. that is all selection. attempt the two out, get a experience for them, then choose no remember if or to no longer slap down the money on one.
