my grandparents always taught me that "dont leave what you dont know for something you have never seen"...and i find that to be so true because i see it everyday...most people end up regreting the decision of breaking up with a significant other for sumone else...
i think that out of respect for a person you should leave them if you are unhappy and find someone new not hold on to them like a back up until u meet somone good enough for you to leave them for...emotionally it just isnt fair...
i mean just think about it...what if you really like or love this girl and you think everything is going fine until she dumps you and you see her with another man the next day...wouldnt that crush you.....i think you should respect her enough to leave her first then go dating...

The grass always seems greener on the other side until you get there. That being said, if you're determined to go forward dumping is better than cheating any day of the week. If your just not happy in the relationship you are in, don't make someone else the cause of you leaving. Be honest and do it on the up and up....breaking someone's heart is tough but destroying their feelings completely is totally unneccessary.

Its not ok to dump someone for someone new. You need to be single first. So that you will not hurt that someone. Before you do something always think what if it will happen to you, what would you feel.

Isn't that what dating is all about.....finding the right person for you? If you know the person you are currently with is not the one for you it is not wrong to dump that person to pursue a new relationship. Make sure it is really what you want because you may never be able to get back together.

I think you should be single to look for someone new, however, it depends on your relationship and if its really that bad then i would think you should just break up with them first. Some ppl move onto someone new right away, it's happened and it sucks for the other person.

It's better to be off with the old coat before you put on the new one.
Break up first - then go out with someone new. Otherwise you'll be back here on this forum crying because you have been labeled "a cheater" and a scoundrel.

If you are not happy with the person that you are with, why do you want to continue to be them? Move on and be with someone that you will be happy with.
