We work on Sunday because it is a workday.
"SIX DAYS SHALT THOU LABOR and do all thy work, but the seventh day [Saturday] is the day of the Lord thy God; in it you shall do no work."
Many adventists (but not all) eat a vegetarian diet, and eating veggie burgers allows us to eat the same kinds of foods as meat-eaters (like burgers, or any meal with meat in it) but not actually consume any meat.
