I had pork with a pineapple glaze somewhere and have been craving it ever since. How would I make it? it was a sweet sauce

Glazes are generally very simple. Your pineapple glaze is probably just the pineapple juice and powdered sugar.

If you are talking about the kind you put on a ham, you can change out the powdered sugar and use brown sugar with the pineapple juice and even a little mustard.

Pineapple Glaze Sauce

2 tablespoons whole cloves
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons prepared mustard
3 tablespoons lemon juice
In a saucepan, stir together whole cloves, pineapple juice, brown sugar, prepared mustard, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened. Strain; remove the whole cloves, and reserve.
When baking ham: Remove the ham from the oven 30 minutes before the end of the baking time. Score the ham and stuff with the whole cloves. Spoon 1/3 of the glaze on top and brush with the remaining glaze at 10 minute intervals.
Makes about 1 1/2 cups sauce.

Pineapple Glaze for Baked Ham

1 cup brown sugar
1 (10 ounce) can crushed pineapple
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon dry mustard or prepared mustard
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt



Place all ingredients in a small saucepan including the juice/syrup from the pineapple.
Turn heat on to medium and stir constantly to prevent burning.
Continue to heat until mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Allow mixture to boil for approximately 1 minute.
If mixture refuses to thicken, add more cornstarch- a little at a time.
(Be sure to mix your cornstarch with a little cold water in a cup to make a smooth liquidified mixture before adding it to the hot sauce.) Pour finished sauce into a serving bowl, complete with a ladle, and let your guests pour it over baked sliced ham.

get a pineaple, fresh(must cut yourself) or diced make a simply syrup(50% sugar 50% water) and boil them for about 30-60 min, strain and sae the liquid, pour over meat before OR after cooked
