The United States had them up until a few years ago. They were called Blue Laws.

What type of Sunday Law?
1. That "no alcohol on Sunday" rule already exists in the US.
2. "No work on Sunday" will never fly. Too much money to be made.
3. "No sex on Sunday"? How would they monitor and what is the consequence?
4. "No sin on Sunday"? Same as #3
The question needs more depth and a bit more reality in thought for the answer.

There have been Sunday Laws in the past in this country, so there's no reason they won't start again. If the apostate church brings down the wall of separation between church and state, it will be like the Dark Ages all over again.

Sunday law? Like as in a law making people all take Sunday off and close every business? I guess that would be something used in a totalitarian post-apolcalyptic culture, since it would require a universal belief in a fairly conservative form of Christianity. But I guess you can dream if you want to - me, I want to buy rum on Sundays! Before noon! Its my day of rest!!!!!

If George Bush anounces himself dictator, which he can do now that he made a law saying he could, then he would probably make christianity the state religion and enforce Sunday Laws.

Are you talking the thing that adventists believe is the mark of the beast?
The SDA's have interesting ideas about the end times stuff but I highly doubt that they are correct.
Sunday laws are one of them. If anything, the current ones are fading.
You can buy booze on Sundays in most places when it was restricted, etc.

Absolutely not, unless this country becomes some sort of Theocracy.
Our forefathers intended this to be a nation based on religious freedom - not Christian values. It just so happens that everyone enjoys a day off of work, and they chose Sunday because that's when many people go to Church.

What are you asking... that there might be someday a law dictating people observe Sunday by not working on that day?
Sabbatarians would be delighted. It would help to validate their claims regarding the sabbath.
But it didn't happen, and it won't happen in this country.

You mean a mandatory requirement to play 18 holes of golf on Sunday?
Yes, that could happen (my view).
(...just kidding a little...)
