As monkeys are notorious thieves, I'd want to see a receipt or adoption papers rather than assuming that the monkey owned the baby.

Edit:
On the other hand, if you're trying the humans from monkeys misconception, you really ought to understand that only creationist differentiate between micro and macro evolution. Biologists look at evolution as a series of small changes over time. Eventually the sum of the small changes can be classified as a new species. This is what is indicated by the evidence

As we all know, babies found in the jungle could belong to any animal, not just monkeys.

Is this a serious question? Whats the purpose of this.. ?

If it is a human baby.. why would it belong
to a monkey, consider the word "belong"?

Under costody or care perhapps would better describe the situation?

In India there have been situations where
wolves have adopted children.. just like
the story of Kipplings Mowgli...

To answer the "question", NO!!!!!!!
(provided it's a human baby).

are u speaking of human baby?
or baby snake?
or baby tiger?
or baby monkey?

i would assume a baby monkey belonged to a monkey.

man did not evolve from monkeys, so i would have no reason to assume the baby human came from a monkey.

Does anything belong to a monkey? Would you have to sue a monkey to legally obtain anything they have?
