any good brownie recipes? (that don't come out cake-like)

I already have the mix (Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix)
I tried making it like it says exactly on the box, since they made the mix, it should taste best by whats on the box...

Didn't like it =/

any other ingredient suggestions ?

GOOD vanilla extract (not imitation) & cinnamon (not too much). Also a little espresso powder gives a really rich flavor.

This makes fudgy-type brownies:

- Take that Betty Crocker cake mix - dry - don't add anything to it
- Also take a small box of Cook & Serve Pudding - your choice on flavor to go with the cake mix - like chocolate or coconut cream, for instance - MUST be Cook & Serve - can't be Instant
- Milk called for on the pudding box
- 1/2 c chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/2 c mini chocolate morsels - not regular sized or they won't melt in time.

Make the pudding. As soon as it reaches the boil and you boil it the required amount of time the box says, immediately pour it into the dry cake mix. Stir it all together - it will start swelling on you - don't worry about it. Pour into a sprayed 8" or 9" square cake pan and smooth out. Sprinkle with the mini chocolate morsels and then sprinkle with the chopped nuts. Bake in preheated 350º oven for 25 minutes. Test with a toothpick but make sure if you see "goo" that it's not the melted chocolate on top. Don't want to overcook this.

The chocolate and nuts are your "frosting". Enjoy!

You can do this with any type of cake mix (white, lemon, chocolate, etc.) and whatever matching kind of Cook & Serve pudding you want to use. I've done the chocolate cake and coconut cream pudding and topped it with 7-Minute Frosting (like a Marshmallow Creme flavored frosting) and everyone loved it.

It's very moist as well.
