the biggest danger is that many fundamentalists commit the sins of pride, envy, jealousy, and prejudice. These are precisely the sins the Jesus condemned and associated with hypocrisy.

You are right. That is why the "once saved, always saved" doctrine just doesn't make sense with scripture. You can fall away after you have been saved. Look at Hebrews 10:26-31, 1 Peter 2:20-22, Galatians 5:4, and Hebrews 6:4-6.

Did you see the "Frontline" about the school board members in PA who tried to get ID into the science curriculum? Apparently these were Christians of the "by hook or by crook" variety. The ends (of proselytizing) do not justify the means as far as I'm concerned. Now hiding Jewish refugees from Nazis--that's another story...

If the person has accepted Jesus Christ into thier life, and know that Jesus Christ went to the cross for thier sins, they have repented and asked for forgiveness, the person receives The Holy Spirit, and The Holy Spirit is thier guide, and will convict them of thier sins, although we still fall short, we are not perfected, God is shaping us into being more Christ like, so when we do slip, We will immediately know what we did, and learn, and be able to turn from these things.

Nothing, obviously. Look at all the lies some people on here are spreading everyday.
Ah, the 'once saved always saved' falsehood!

You don't get it...if you are truly saved thent he Holy Spirit dwells within you. The Holy Spirit hates sin and you begin to hate your sin as well. At no time in my life have I ever thought..."I know this is wrong, but I'm forgiven so I'm going to do it anyway." The thought goes more like...sin is committed without really thinking it through then..."Oh my gosh, I can't believe I just did that. God, please forgive me and help me to see that next time before I do it."

and that's exactly what scares me of the fundies. no one knows what they will think and do next, you know, like you can't trust them as much as you can't trust a mentally-ill person. I am serious.
