Why is it that all these people have Reverend in front of their name? They cannot spell most of the time, nor do they actually act like a minister. Don't you need a degree to be a religious teacher? That's like me saying I'm a doctor, because I believe in salves and band-aids...

Yeah, my bad. Leave Soleil out, he's fine. Let's see there's Einstein and I just saw two others a few minutes ago.

It does not take a seminary degree to claim one is a Reverend or a Pastor online.
Although very honestly most seminaries are so spiritually dead in America you might as well call them cemetaries.
I for one became a Pastor or a "Reverend" in 1974, long before the Internet.
I've met a few on the Interent who claimed they were ordained by this organization or that.
Here are two fraud ordinations mills that I've checked out:
Here's the letter of ordination for my pet pooch:
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS - - that Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries accepts Cindy Beagle, having demonstrated by actions and by statement of faith a love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word, into the world-wide ministry of Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries.
ON OATH
I, Rev. Dr. David M. Ford, on behalf of this ministry and all its members, do hereby select, appoint, and anoint you, Cindy Beagle, a legally ordained independent minister of Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries, and authorize you to perform all standard Christian religious services including the rites of marriage and baptism, on this day, November 15, 2004.
Rev. Dr. David M. Ford
Pastor/Administrator
Saint Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries

They ordained my dog.
Did you see the name?
Cindy what?
Here is the 2nd letter of ordination:
Subject: OFFICIAL LETTER OF ORDINATION
Date: Jun 29, 2007 4:00 AM
KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS - - that Trinity Evangelical Christian Ministries accepts Cindy Beagle, having demonstrated by actions and by statement of faith and love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word, into the worldwide ministry of Trinity Evangelical Christian Church.
ON OATH
I, Rev. Dr. Nicole L. Weyant, on behalf of the church and all its members, do hereby select, appoint, and anoint you a fully ordained independent minister of Trinity Evangelical Christian Ministries, and authorize you to perform all standard Christian religious services, including the rites of marriage and baptism.
Signed and Sealed this day into Ministry Records by:
Rev. Dr. Nicole L. Weyant
President
Trinity Evangelical Christian Ministries
27765 McKee Road
Toney, AL 35773

PLEASE NOTE: This letter stands as your Official Letter of Ordination. If you would like to also have a Ministerial Certificate suitable for framing, please visit:

Of course they want to make money selling these fake certificates.
In my opinion the ordination of anyone ordained by the same outfits which ordained my pet pooch, are not valid.

If you try hard enough, I'm sure you could get you dog ordained. But he could not ask someone to say "I do" or baptize someone. Maybe some ministers are bad spellers. That is true. I try very hard not to misspell. I know it's hard to believe, but I now know how to spell "truly" correctly and how to use "its" as a possessive and "it's" as a contraction of it is. My dad asked me to be ordained before he died, like he was, and I found St. Luke's suitable for this. Spending so much time overseas, including nine years as a foreign missionary in the Peoples Republic of China (it is permissible to spell Peoples without the apostrophe) and twelve years as a missionary kid, I overcame my accent and picked up some words of other languages to boot. A Christian is evaluated by Christ, his or her own master, and whatever smarts he has is but a gift from God. The Apostle Paul mentioned in the Bible that there were not many people with smarts who are "called" so that God can prove how much he can do with puny Christians to confound the smart people. I still lack an earned master's degree. I earned a bachelor's degree and also went to an accredited Bible college, the same one Chet Bitterman went to, before terrorists killed him after he became a missionary. I also graduated from my dad's year-long unaccredited Bible school and went to another minister's year-long Bible school as well, someone who actually had a seminary degree. I hope to earn a master of divinity degree some day so I can become a real minister. Actually, the US Constitution says that Congress shall make no law concerning the establishment of a State religion. Rules for such things are quite free in the US, where followers of Christ vie to become the best church possible.

I'm not sure. Reverend is a name for God speaking to His reverence. We as humans should never take on titles let alone a title that is given to God. We should all be equal because it is only though One that we are saved. Matthew 23:9.
