We live in an apartment (no kids, just my brother, my boyfriend, me and the puppy) and I just can't think of anywhere to hang the stockings. Our living room (where I want to hang them) is soo crowded. We have two couches that make an L and one has a wall behind it but it taken by a piece of art. One wall is pretty much entirely covered by glass leading out to our balcony, and the last wall has our long entertainment center on it and our TV (with art on the walls to the side). I was going to get those stoocking hangers and line them across the entertainment center, but, that where we decided to put the nativity! It would look horrible to have a snowman and santa stocking hanger poking into the nativity. There are also no real doorways that I could hang them. I'm in a bind. Please help me out :) I'm looking for a good creative classy idea Thanks

What about the back of the front door? If the bedroom doors are visible from the living area, maybe you could hang them on the bedroom doors...If the doors are down a hall, you might consider hanging them in the hallway. I highly recommend getting the hooks with "Command Adhesive"...this will allow you to take them down and leave no marks on whatever surface you end up using.

I have always lived in small places that didn't have fireplaces, so I know how it can be. In the past we have used the banister on the stairs and out-of-the-way walls. A few years ago, we moved into a place that has a wood stove surrounded by bricks, but it has no mantel - lucky for me, someone else already put a few hooks in the bricks, so now we have a good spot for them (not that Santa could fit through the flue, but that's a different story!).

Hey heres an idea, Just lay the stockings at the foot of the christmas tree. Kind of looks nice against all the lights and decorations.

Merry Christmas

What if you went to the hardware store and got hooks with suction cups, you could hang them on the sliding glass door along with some garland?

How about the backs of the kitchen chairs? Opening your stockings with a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa could be a great way to start your morning.
