and if I go around telling people (without even knowing the kind of people they are) that they are going to hell with all of the delusional certainty, would the fundies' god see me as loving and worthy to enter 'heaven' (whatever they mean by it)?

There's about 10 fundies in YA who come to mind with this question. "Unsilenced Lamb" is one of them. "Chris" is another. Whatever happened to "Hug A Fundie" day?

This seems to be the common misconception of fundies around here....I don't think they see themselves in such a light though. They are probably convinced that what they do is for the betterment of all mankind......sad....and delusional....

Remember, a self righteous person is someone who thinks their basically good, according to themselves. Hence, Self Righteousness.

Do you realize that you are self righteous? You think your good enough to pass the judgment seat of the Messiah just because you were kind to your grandparents. Get real, our self righteousness is like filthy rags to God. Therefore, we need a Redeemer who saves us. Shalom.

I think it makes you ignorant. Of course, in christianity, if someone doesn 't believe in Jesus, they'll go to hell, but why? because they chose to, they didn't want Jesus, so why would they want be with him in heaven? They go to hell because they chose it. It's the blatent truth.

But about being loving person; you love the sinner but you hate the sin. It's not your place to judge other people, that's God's job, instead why not try to build up your realtionship with God, and the more you go thru with Him you can boast to non believers about it and maybe it might turn them around instead of you trying to condenm and judge them.

we are not called to judge people, the bible tells us to preach the gospel, those who believe will be saved and those who doesn't will be condemned. I don't judge you the word of god does.

Duh, of course it would.. who could possibly think that by just being a good person and treating fellow humans with the kindness and respect you would like to be treated with would get you into heaven? That's preposterous!

Only one has been without sin and that is Jesus Christ. If people are telling you that you will go to hell because you're a sinner, they are just being honest. Sometimes the delivery of the message might be abrasive. All humans are born with sin. It is in our blood.

According to Christians, yes. But their self delusion is such that they use their bible to justify it so they can think that kind of behavior is ok.
