In the United States, Canada, and Europe, the congregation meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses are typically attended by men wearing neckties and jackets, and women wearing skirts or dresses. Ideally, everyone should be clean, dignified, and modest (although no one respectful is turned away).
Jehovah's Witnesses understand the bible to be the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's will and purposes. They never pretend that bible study aids are more important than the bible itself.
Each congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses schedules five congregation meetings each week, typically at its Kingdom Hall. Two of those five meetings consider a bible-based lesson from The Watchtower or another publication, but the other three meetings are bible-based talks presented by congregation members. Speakers MUST use the BIBLE as the foundation of their talks, but it is true that speakers may include reference material from any responsible source (including The Watchtower, of course).
Jehovah's Witnesses unceasingly admonish their adherents to read, study, and meditate on the bible itself at their own homes with their own families. The Witnesses have long cited three INDISPENSABLE actions by true Christians:
1. Pray
2. Read bible
3. Preach
Those who attend the meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses will likely note that nearly everyone (adult and child) can comfortably and quickly locate each referenced Scripture during the talk. Other bible-study aids may be used by the audience during the meetings, but never even approaching the ubiquity of the bible among Jehovah's Witnesses.

I think the first thing that you will notice when entering a kingdom hall, which is what witnesses call their church is that they are very simple buildings, inside there are no crosses and its really a nice atmosphere inside. Like any other church meetings start and end with prayer, there are also songs that are sung.
There are 5 meetings each week
1: Book study, these are normally held in smaller groups in peoples homes or at the kingdom hall. It is a question and answer discussion at the moment we are currently studying the Book of Revelation
2. Theocratic Ministry School. held on thursdays This is to help Witnesses to teach people about the bible.
3 Service meeting. this keeps us informed of anything new happening. It mainly equips witnesses to have a full share in the ministry work
4 Public talk and watchtower Sundays A public talk is given by a qualified elder on a particular subject then the watchtower study is a question and answer discussion that all can participate in
You will also notice that no collections are ever taken at a meeting as we dont pay tithes but like the scriptures say we give from our hearts. Voluntarily.
Also we dont not have pastors, as aJesus said he is our leader. There are qualified elders within the congregation that have responsibilities but also work secularly and thay give talks and share responsibility.
So if you really want to know what the meetings are like, then please go, you would be warmly invited and Im sure you will enjoy it.

Another way in which “the good news of the kingdom” is told to others is through meetings held at local Kingdom Halls. The Witnesses conduct meetings there weekly. One meeting is a public lecture on a subject of current interest, followed by a study of some Biblical theme or prophecy, using the Watchtower magazine as source material. Another meeting is a school for training Witnesses to be better proclaimers of the good news, followed by a part devoted to discussing the witnessing work in the local territory. Also, once a week Witnesses assemble in private homes, in small groups, for Bible studies.
All these meetings are open to the public. No collections are ever taken. Such meetings are beneficial for all. The Bible says: “We ought to see how each of us may best arouse others to love and active goodness, not staying away from our meetings, as some do, but rather encouraging one another, all the more because you see the Day drawing near.” Private study and research are necessary, but meeting with others is stimulating: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens the wits of another.”—Hebrews 10:24, 25; Proverbs 27:17, 'The New English Bible'.

Sunday conferences are a 30 minute Public communicate on a Bible problem. accompanied via a Watchtower learn it particularly is a question and answer format. it particularly is frequently an hour long. So, a typical Sunday assembly could final a hour and a a million/2 Mid week we've a e book learn it particularly is precisely what it sounds like, a learn of one of the classes. That lasts half-hour. Then we flow onto the Theocratic Ministry college for half-hour. pupils how you may learn and present day Bible information in a public placing. whether from platform or door step. Then we flow onto the provider assembly which teaches and encourages us approximately engaging interior the typical public ministry. finished time for Tues. assembly is an hour and a a million/2. it particularly is an extremely tough caricature of what happens. of course we open and close our conferences with songs and prayer.

Welcome! The meetings are all wonderful and everyone will be kind.
As for clothes, anything modest will do. A good "rule" of thumb (which is something I was taught by fellow Witnesses) is that your skirt or dress is as short as your slit is high.
I tend to wear long black skirts and a sleeveless shirt with a sweater. I wear sandals when the weather is warm and boots when it's cold. I never learned how to do anything with my hair, lol, so I usually have it pulled back in a ponytail.
Individual tastes and styles vary greatly however and we wouldn't have it any other way :)

It depends on which meeting you are going to. We meet three times a week. You'll need a Bible for all of them. You can carry a notebook, too.
1. If you are going on a Sunday, you will most likely be going to the Public Talk and Watchtower Study (mostly done on Sundays but there is no hard and fast rule)
The Public Talk is a 45-minute Bible discourse given by a brother from the platform. It is based on a timely subject, and Bible points explained.
The Watchtower study is a question-and-answer discussion with audience participation. A brother will read a paragraph from the Watchtower and the Study Conductor will ask the question to the paragraph found at the bottom of the page. People who want to answer the questions put up their hands and contribute to the discussion. Anyone and everyone can participate, but if you'd rather watch, it's fine.
2. The Book Study is a one-hour meeting, usually held in a private home of one of the Witnesses and for a smaller group. A Bible book is discussed, in the same question-answer method like used at the Watchtower Study.
3. The Theocratic School and Service meetings are held at the Kingdom Hall. People who have been given assignments on different Bible topics demonstrate how to explain different things in the ministry, brothers read parts of the Bible from the platform to practice their public reading skills, and many other skills like pronunciation, tact, learning how to put points across clearly etc
In the Service meeting, the local needs of the particular congregation are addressed and other local matters. (Like who's turn it is to clean the Hall that week, or where to meet for field service etc)
People will want to say hi to you and make you feel welcome. (naturally)
Hope that helps!

Vot Anarж and Emma summed it up best. You will be treated very kindly and warmly greeted. Very few women wear pants to the Kingdom Hall, and everyone is modestly and appropriately dressed. Children are often well behaved and most Kingdom Halls have a room where children can be taken to if they are young and crying, nursing, in need of changing, etc... I have attended several meetings at Kingdom Halls and never felt uncomfortable or unwelcome.

Well it depends on when you go. If you're simply curious, you are better off attending one of the public talks that are generally held on Sundays at your local kingdom hall
What to expect... of the people a warm welcome and a friendly smile. Of the discussion, frequent use of the bible to back up what is being said.

I like young ladies in jeans. It makes them look more city like and it doesn't look like they are trying too much but if you are trying to get this fellas attention, this might not be what you would like

I do enjoy putting on long skirts once in a while. These are actually more comfortable than Jeans and also much less hot to wear.
