Your beliefs should not be swayed by what others think or say. Go with what your heart tells you. As far as science goes, I'm am of a highly scientific mind and still have no problem believing in God. The only reason that most people in the scientific community try to debunk religion is because they are afraid of the unknown! Have you ever heard of scientific principle know as "Occam's Razor"? It states that the explanation of any phenomenon should make as few assumptions as possible, eliminating those that make no difference in the observable predictions of the explanatory hypothesis or theory. Basically, when faced with multiple answers or theories about a phenomenon, the simplest choice is usually right one. So when science fails to explain an miraculous event then it should be given the benefit of the doubt that the cause could be spiritual in nature. It really bothers me when scientifically mind individuals refuse to follow there own theories and conjecture! There is no doubt in my mind that God exists and no amount of scientific evidence or nay saying from my peers will ever change that! And as for your dream, it sounds to me like your mind is battling over the existence of God and the dream was a result of said conflict. The images that you describe are very common among many religious factions so it could have been in the back of your mind all along and the mental struggle that you are going through could have brought it out in dream form. Just believe what YOU feel that you should and you'll be just fine. Take care of yourself and stay strong!

I once heard of a scientist being asked if he believed in God and he said, "Yes, just in case." Believing in nothing can drain you ... believing in something can save you (in more ways than one). I accept that I don't know everything and keep and open mind ... but I believe because it feels right and does me good ... and you know ... it just can't hurt to play it safe. An atheist gains nothing by not believing except to claim he is enlightened to the real world (so what?)... but by believeing ... we (the opposition) gain much ... who cares what everyone else thinks ... what do you think? It's your life ... but what you believe can make all the difference ... Another friend once said religion is like clothing ... wear it and you are covered ... don't wear it and you are exposed to a whole host of ugliness ... choose the clothes that make you most comfortable and only expose as much as you want.

Religion is more related to a psychological effect. If you believe that it exists, it's there. It's all up in the creative minds of humans to come up with lots of imagination.
One can easily turn a lie into a fact by repeating it one million times, and then keep convincing others to do so.
Think of it as such, why should one limit oneself to the imagination of something made up by past people?
If I were to ever find a religion, it would be one that I create myself.
Deja Vu??? Well, this happens when one keeps thinking about a particular topic. Once they see something similiar to it, they would immediately attribute it to the object.

That is a perdiccument I found myself in at one time, but the more they try to use science to discredit God the more they prove his exsitance. Yes there will be people that look down on you, but thier will be people that will come im your life that will support you, just be patient. As for the dream I have know idea what that could mean. I suggest you pray.

if you want my respect you do some good in this world. If you do something good because of your religion, then fine. If you are an atheist and you do it for ethical reason just as fine, I don't really care why you do it.
But as far as I am concerned if you spend your entire life praying to whatever your god is and are only interested in your personal salvation and not in anybodies else's well-being I think you failed and you wasted your time. I am not talking about heroic acts, just those little things which make life livable.
Please go and volunteer for whatever cause you can believe in.

You said you believe in God, so start there and pray for guidance. Don't worry about what others think of you, just keep searching until you find the truth.
As far as the dream, you probably just saw the picture before and just don't remember it.

Believeing in god is something you have to face on your own. No one can tell you anything. If you believe he is here for you then you will saved. Who cares what other people think. Believing in god is more powerful. This is a very controversial question young man.

Vision and Dreams, it could be the things from the future or it could be from the past so we can learn from it.
Jesus Christ when he visited the earth he experience lots of insults from the religious leaders as well as the unblievers, one thing i like with Him is He knows his position and his purpose! He came from Heaven and He is God!
I suggest you read this book by Rick Warren "THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE" http://www.purposedrivenlife.com/thebook.aspx
If you want to know your purpose in life you start with GOD!

demons are a very real thing... you should be careful.. they can come in objects and the things you watch on tv and things like that.. but they will come if you let them...
remember
the Bible refers to satan as “the god of this system of things,” who has blinded people’s minds.—2 Corinthians 4:4.
Man’s spiritual inclination has led him to explore the unknown. This has exposed him to another of Satan’s deceptive devices. Exploiting man’s curiosity about what is strange and mysterious, Satan has used spiritism to bring many under his control. As a hunter uses bait to attract his prey, Satan employs such devices as fortune-telling, astrology, hypnotism, witchcraft, palmistry, and magic to attract and entrap people around the world.—Leviticus 19:31; Psalm 119:110.
“Oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
but this is the most important scripture i think...
“Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)
satan makes things he does look good.. but in the long run its actually bad for us.. keep this in mind!!

Before you believe in god, ask yourself what it is, from what is it, that you need to be saved? A firefighter saves you from a burning house. A policeman might or might not save you from a crime, but they try. A bomb shelter might save you from an atom bomb. So, what does believing in god save you from? If you come up w/a good answer that satisfies your curiosity, ONLY THEN should you decide whether or not to believe in a god who can save you from it.
