From this verse, do you believe you are a Jew?
Romans 2:29
But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

I am curious to know what other believers view this as.....it is interesting to see how many christians believe scripture to mean something different than what the other sees.

Well...
We have been grafted into the same tree as the Jew....whom the offer of salvation was offered to first so.....in a sense.....we are Jews by adoption

Great Question!
We Christians who have been born again are Jews from God's perspective! We may not have Jewish blood in our veins but we have the Jewish Spirit in our spirits because the Spirit of Christ is alive within us!
In God's eyes, the only Jews are those who have the Jewish heart - one that has been born again! Those who are Jews outwardly but not inwardly are not Jews in God's eyes and will NOT be saved unless they put their hope in the Messiah - Jesus Christ. (Romans 11:23)
We gentiles have been grafted in until the fullness of time. That word 'until' doesn't always mean that things will change after that.
I believe in ONE body and ONE covenant, not two. God said in Hebrews and Jeremiah that the NEW covenant was going replace the Old covenant.
Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father and the eternal life and that is what Paul and all the other Apostles preached. That is why they were persecuted and killed. Had they preached that the Jews didn't need to put their faith in Jesus - that the Old covenant was good enough then they wouldn't have been persecuted. Plus the book of Hebrews (which was written to the Hebrews) tells us why the Old Covenant wasn't good enough! It tells us the need for the pure blood of the lamb of God. If the blood of goats and lambs could take away sin then Jesus died in vain and came in vain. It's only His blood that can redeem any man or woman of any religious background.
No, I don't believe the Jews have an "escape clause" from the New Covenant. I do hope that all of them are saved! God loves them dearly and we need to too! Hopefully, they will come in and for some it will take the jealousy of Gentile conversions to Christ and being in right relationship with God while they are not because they refuse to believe in Christ. Paul warned us not to get arrogant about our position in Christ. If the non believing Jews would eventually be let in anyway, then we'd have nothing to get arrogant about.
Thankfully, I am a Jew inwardly and I hope and pray all people will become as I am, regardless of their physical race.

We are Jews only inwardly because of the lineage of Jesus.Saying this we are classed as Gentiles OUTWARDLY,those of us who are different countries and races.
When we accepted Christ, we became of a circumcised heart,One yielded and cleansed by Him.
We line up with the Jews of the old testament, the Original Jews who name the Old Testament the Torah.Without them laying the foundation there would be no New Testament.
I like this scripture:Romans 2:9&10-'But Glory and honour and peace shall be awarded to EVERYONE who does good.the Jew first and also the Greek(Gentile).
11:- For God shows no partiality or undue favour or unfairness; with Him no man is different from another.

Starting with Romans 2:28, Paul aligns with Old Testament teaching that physical circumcision was an outward expression of that which is inward and real. I see 2:29 as saying that Jews (and Gentiles) aren't required to be circumcised (physically) because "circumcision" is done of the heart by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, no - we aren't all Jews, even if we are circumcised physically.

I believe that verse is about circumcision. There was a debate at the time if Gentiles needed circumcision..I am a Gentile..grafted in by the grace of God. For there is neither man nor woman, Greek or Jew all are children under God.

We have been grafted into the Vine and the Spirit of Christ now dwells inside of every born again believer and as Christ Himself was a Jew, so the holy scripture point to this and yes, you can say that..

What Paul was saying is that the Gentile= us, have the same rights that the Jews have, through righteousness. So it doesn't matter if you are Jew or Gentile circumcised or uncircumcised, through righteousness God sees us the same.

I would say yes and no to that question, the way you asked it with the scripture I would have to say yes because I desired to be purged unto God in my heart. And no because technically, Jewish is a race and descendants of Abraham

Paul is explaining proper Jewishness now that the Messiah has come. We must be born again to see the kingdom of God.
