We are doing a limo wine tasting tomorrow in Temecula. The limo will serve champagne on our drive out. What would you suggest serving with the champagne at 10am in the morning???? Thanks for your help!

Have some orange juice in case some people want mimosas. They are yummy! You can mix 50/50 and change it up for people who less alcohol. Fresh strawberries are good- since you're in a limo- how about getting some dipped in choc? You can dip some in white choc too. Easy to do at home- just place the choc in the microwave for about a min or 2 on low heat and stir. You should have something a little filling because champagne can go straight to your head. So, add more fruit and some little sandwiches or ham and biscuits.

At 10 in the morning, and in a limo, II would say just serve strawberries. Add crackers and cheese if you're concerned about getting too drunk on an empty stomach.

Think of it as a progressive meal day, starting with a champagne brunch and ending with dessert. Here are some ideas:

1. Black forest ham paired with havarti cheese on mini orange muffins.
2. Artichoke fritata squares or mini quiches
3. Cheese and fruit, served with artisan crackers and muffins
4. Cranberry orange nut bread with sweet butter
5. Canadian bacon with slices of tomato on sourdough baguettes

Anything goes with bubbly. Dry bubbly is better for savoury eats, though I really dislike "brut"--I call it "headache in a bottle." Most of the time "brut" just tastes like bubbly vinegar to me.
