Sorry to say this to you, but you are as bad as you think the French are! Do you have your sign boards in French or for instance Spanish and why not Italian, German and so on. I think you are being very selfish.
You seem to think that English is the only language in the world! That´s not so, my friend! English is a language spoken especially in the business world and many others than businessmen/women speak English, although having their own native language.
You gave me the impression of the English language being "the one and only" in this big world, but I have to disappoint you, it IS NOT!
A piece of good advice to you, if you were so shameful for being unable to read, write and speak French, why not learn French or any other language and guess what? Your small world will get much WIDER and "RICHER"!!! Good luck!

I'm sorry to say but I really don't see why French people should have to have signs in English, their official language is French and French only. People in the U.S. are constantly getting upset at foreigners who come to their country that don't speak English. So how could someone get upset at another country for using only their langauge? While I've never been to France if I were to ever go one day I don't think that I would even bother asking people (Parlez-vous englais) Do you speak English? I would honestly try to learn as much of the French langauge as possible before going because... well, that's what they speak. Just try to look at the matter from their perspective.

Hello?? What language did you expect the sign boards in France to be in? And what does that have to do about wanting to learn English? I am not French, but honestly, you are being ridiculous.
I mean really..The French are bad at attempting foreign languages, but not as bad as their almost-neigbours accross the channel.

There are maybe 200 different nationalities or more visiting Paris yearly - would you please write to the authorities and require
sign boards in 200 languages - otherwise did you notice anything nice in that country - and in which conditions could you survive ???

Excuse me, but I surmise that this is NOT a serious question.
Since it is not serious, I will give a non serious answer:
Obviously, in France, the sign boards, etc, should not be in French. Why should they be ?

Do all of the signs in England have French translations on them? If they don't, then what you're asking doesn't seem very fair, does it?

I can only think of one native speaker of French who truly believes there are other languages worth learning.
