Sure I can. What amazes me are the people who still try to sound like experts in areas they know little about.

guilty... I dont watch secular tv much at all so I was oblivious to even current events like the Tsunami, Katrina and the California wildfires. Someone at my child's daycare had to tell me about the fires and I was like 'fourteen fires really? wow...THATs why I smell the smoke in the air?' Call me crazy but I find most of what the world considers important mainstream subjects seem repetitive, sensationalized and void of spiritual fiber for the most part.
Im just passing through here though so pardon my tunnel vision...I just feel like (at this point in my life) if it doesnt improve my relationship with God then its a waste of time.

Of course! I'm ignorant in regards to many things. Math above trigonometry, engineering practices, pregnancy and childbirth, raising cattle (pretty mainstream in some cultures!)...the list goes on and on.
Happily I'm not ignorant with regards to the things that I've really been curious about and taken the time to educate myself on.

To claim to know everything about everything simply proves you know nothing about anything.
Not sure where I heard this, may have been an elder gentleman. I tend to listen to them as they have lived a lot longer than I have and therefore gained a large amount of knowledge. lol. but yes I would admit that I am ignorant on some things. And those things that I am ignorant about I do not discuss or if I do discuss it is me asking someone to explain it to me.

Do you mean Pastor Art? J/K
Yes, I'll admit that I'm not exactly a rocket scientist.
I am ignorant of reality TV and I don't ever watch soccer or golf. There is actually no end of things I don't know.
However, I am a diligent student of the Bible.

We are all ignorant about some mainstream subjects, we just don't really like admiting to it. In my case it's politics.

I will admit that I am ignorant in too many subjects to name. I do love learning but the more I learn the more I realize I don't know enough.

Subjects about which I'm completely and unblushingly ignorant:
Math of all kinds; car stuff (I only know how to put in oil and how to drive); sports (except for body building and UFC -- and for the 100th time, UFC IS A REAL SPORT!); biomechanical engineering; how to make coffee drinks (the steam machines scare me); ebonics; American Idol; computer hardware issues; how to ice skate; Hinduism; God, the list goes on and on .......

I am ignorant about most new electronics. I just learned what an Ipod was yesterday. I am still fascinated by the old 8mm Bell Howell movie projector.

I know nothing whatsoever about automobiles. I can't even change my own oil.
I also realized late last year how ignorant I was about the subject of wine. So much so, that I would be embarrassed to describe in detail as to why (for fear of being targeted by the wine geeks). I took it upon myself to learn more about wine in 2007.
Maybe 2008 will be the year of Pennzoil.
