Hey Cody...unfortunately I do think you're too young for a 23 year old girl. I know you guys like each other, but by her wanting to go out with you, she could get into a lot of trouble, especially if your parents don't approve, which I doubt they would. The age gap between the two of you is too big to really have much in common, aside from maybe a physical attraction. It would be way different if you were 22 and she were 29...but with you being a teenager still, it just makes the two of you seem worlds apart. Do you know what I mean? You're still in high school, and she's graduated and possibly in college or university...if she's not, then she's probably working. You probably still live at home with your parents, and she might live on her own...there's just too much of a gap at the age you're at now for it to really work. You should both find someone closer to your own age. Good luck with it.

I don't think that you are too young or she is too old. It all depends on both of your maturity levels. Just b/c you will be dating doesn't mean that you will start sleeping together. I recommend waiting to do that if you haven't already done it. But if you think that she will be able to handle it and so will you... you have a lot of factors to think about. Have you known each other for long? If you guys are new friends then I don't really recommend it. It is easy to fall "in love" When you are younger so just make sure not to confuse your feelings. Yes, you are too young for a 23-year-old girl. If she pursued a physical relationship with someone your age, she would probably get arrested for statutory rape or something.......depending on which state you live in. You are not too young to find her attractive, but there are other younger attractive females out there, so try to focus on them! If, when you turn 18, this female (who will then be 25) is still in your environment, and you still find her attractive and the feeling is mutual, it would be all right to go for it. Meanwhile, distract yourself with a nice 15-year-old or 16-year-old. There are a lot of very cute ones out there.

Dude....I know its flattering that an older girl likes you but ask yourself why she would go for a younger guy...I know age difference melts in the face of love, but the age groups in which you are means that your interests are widely different. Are you still in school? Maybe she likes you because you remind her of her youth...rebellious and free and if you are good looking it makes it easier to fall in love. No preaching, but make sure you are on the same page about priorities etc. You need to experience a lot before making serious choices....the fantasy is sometimes better than the reality and she might eventually get annoyed with your needs at that age or you might tire of her and then someone gets hurt. Experience is the best teacher so if you want to pursue this, keep it light (NON SEXUAL because its illegal to sleep with minors) and don't invest your heart and soul into it. And do not listen to the guys who say go for it because they are certainly not thinking with the right parts of their anatomy;)

If you were the female I would discourage you.But I see no harm here.Don't try to analize it all.Just enjoy each other's company to the extent that your both comfortabel.And the hell with what other people think.There is way too many people that think if you do something different than them you must be wrong.Those people have never had an open-minded thought.Good Luck and again be your own man.You don't need the approval of the YA community to live your life.

She is older, and has self esteem issues, otherwise she would not be interested in someone so young (the age difference matters less then the fact that she is thinking about someone who is so inexperienced. She was the attention of an energetic young puppy to keep her entertained.

Play with her and have fun if you want, but do not get attached. She could teach a lot about pleasing women that will be to your advantage later on.

I think the girl must not be very smart if she is 23 and likes a 16 year old boy. There is something not quite right about that. Most women dont like dating extremely younger than them boys because you are in high school and she is 23. Pretty strange if you ask me.

Then wait. Ordinarily, I'd give you my blessing, but, legally, there's a big difference between 16 and 23. You've got less than two years.

Little Cody, you are what we in West Texas call Jail Bait. Yes you are too young for her. She could get thrown in jail for dating you. Stick to someone in your age group. When you turn 18, then you may pursue a relationship with her if she is still available.
