It could easily put you on the same moral page as committing an abortion.
I'm NOT Catholic, but in my view, life starts with the zygote at conception. You don't want people using your eggs to make multiple "attempts" at fertilization...
The Bible is clear that those in the womb are fully human.
When you have people working on fertilization that don't respect this, then you have a problem...

I answer as a Christian who has gone through infertility myself.
The Bible is silent on egg donation because it didn't exist in Bible times. It wasn't even fathomable until the last half of the 20th century.
For Catholic Christians, it is a sin to accept a donated egg because children are to be conceived within the marital act. Likewise, donating an egg would be a "near occasion to sin" in that it causes other people to sin, so again, it would be forbidden. Egg donation and surrogacy are NOT the same thing as adoption at all. Only somebody who has never been through infertility would say such a thing.
Most non-Catholic Christians have little to say about fertility issues. But they should say something, because infertility medicine is a moral minefield. We were pentecostal when we went through it and later switched to evangelical Anglican, and we got NO input/advice/support from either faith tradition.
We are Catholic now and have three kids.

God’s view may well be stumbled on at Leviticus 18:20, which says: “you're able to desire to no longer provide your emission as semen to the spouse of your associate to alter into unclean via it.” The underlying thought in that Scriptural decree is this: a guy’s semen should not be used to inseminate anybody different than his spouse, and a woman shouldn't undergo a newborn for somebody different than her very own husband. In different words, the reproductive powers are to no longer be used for somebody different than one’s marriage mate. genuine Christians, consequently, keep away from surrogate motherhood besides as any techniques that contain using donated sperm, eggs, or embryos. while making a determination regarding assisted reproduction, genuine Christians could desire to weigh heavily what the Bible exhibits approximately God’s questioning. in spite of everything, he's the Originator of marriage and kinfolk existence.—Ephesians 3:14, 15. a similar may well be linked via egg therapy or assisted being pregnant.

I don't think it is a sin, in my mind, it's very similar to adoption.
