I'm wondering if I can get a passport, even though I think I have an upaid speeding ticket somwhere. I used to do a lot of cross country driving, so I really have no idea what county this ticket was in and when I renewed my license, everything went through fine. The ticket is in another state, and I also have an unpaid parking ticket. When I called the DMV they said they had no record of an unpaid speeding ticket, but I know i got one somewhere. Could it have disappeared or not been turned in somehow??

Will these prevent me from getting a passport?? Educated answers please! help!

This doesnt show up when you apply for a passport. My son has an out of state unpaid ticket that he never went to court on and he got his passport. These are misdemeanors not big felony charges.

They don't check for speeding tickets. So just apply and all is well.

One tip...... apply at the post office and pay for registered mail each way. If you don't need it super fast you can skip the State Dept. expedited fee. But w. all of the people going for passports some people are getting in the trap of "we don't have your application". Few, but worth a bit extra especially since you will be sending an original birth certificate.

no longer unavoidably - or perhaps flagging you as wanted won't continually forestall you traveling. The airport protection is completed with the aid of Borders corporation and, particularly different than for the cuts, the staffing ranges are so low they must prioritise and could no longer cope with you

If DMV tells you you're clear then apply.
