God is a God of Love and forgiveness. So he expects us to do the same. God is not a respecter of persons. He can change a person from the gutter into a prince. He can take a prince and make him a drunk. He can take a business man and let him be a fool. He can take a pagan and make him intelligent. What can we do for him that he can not do for himself. What we refuse to do ,he can raise up a people that never bowed their knees to any idol or demon spirit. Yet where can we run from God that he is not present in our lives. God is endless possiblities and forgiveness with love.

First, justice is necessary for the protection of the innocent, not the torment of wrongdoers. A loving God must be just. But, "mercy triumphs over judgment" if it's the judgment part that's concerning you. Straight out of the New Testament. Of course I'll get thumbs down, but... I still give you a star for good question.

God is a multi-faceted character. There are a variety of character attributes that are demonstrated throughout the Bible.

God is a just God.
God is love.

God's love is demonstrated by sending his Son for us while we were still sinners. God forgiveness is available through his sacrifice. His sacrifice was necessary because of his justice.

I don't know what God's justice really is, but I believe many people's intepretation of what THEY think God's justice is is not fair.

If we face reality, that is NO rose colored spectacles, does anyone really K N O W anything about god and what he/she/it thinks other than what is in the bible which is suspect due to a plethora of reasons???

NOBODY, not one single human being can say YES I DO without a shadow of a doubt, soooooo... all anyone can do is speculate, guess and in most cases assume what is true, but doing so does not make it so, does it?

God is Love,Mercy, forgiveness and justice.I believe god is all LOVE first,Mercy triumphs over judgment. Its in the bible, this scripture I cant remember where I think its Matthew.Jesus Crucifixion was the ultimate act of love,he laid his life down for us,while we were sinners.I know no one that would take a bullet for me,accept my Jesus he already did.If that's not love I don't know what is.Shalom

The OT God definitely practices his form of 'justice' way more than forgiveness. The NT God, Jesus, displays more forgiveness and he never kills anyone.

God is fully just and gives mercy to unmerited people. God would be completely just and right to condemn every single person who ever lived to Hell. We are in rebellion against God, break His law, and sin against Him and eachother.

But, God being infinitely merciful chose to send His Son to die for our sins, to pay our penalty, and to clease us who neither deserve it or want it. It is only when our dead eyes are open to we understand our dire need. This is why we worship Him, because He loved us enough to save us from ourselves.

The Christian God sends good people to Hell just because they are not believers. That doesn't sound like he believes in either Justice or Forgiveness. In fact -- it sounds like evil.
