According to the following article (see link) they are debating on whether or not Pastafarianism is a religion.
So my question is: Do you consider the FSM a 'god' and is Pastafariansim a religion?

Great article...

There is just as much proof for FSM as their is for any other religion. The great thing about it, is it's a parody that completely mocks religion, but at the same time uses the exact same claims and logic as any other religion.

You have all these other people who are devout Christians, Jews, Muslims and whatnot who do not find it clever and think it's some college joke... but they just don't get it.

I think it's great that FSM is being considered a real religion and that it's on the agenda at this religious conference.

Does this mean if I go back into the military in the next few years that I might be able to change my religion from NONE to PASTAFARIAN? I can only hope!

I have been touched by his noodly appendage! It wasn't until I bought the FSM bible that I truly understood the beauty and genius behind it. Thank you and RAmen!

To many people, money is their god. Some even consider themselves to be god. They are the ones that need no one to help them. They can do it themselves. Idols of all kinds of images have been made by people looking for some kind of
answers to why they are poor, sick, unhappy, etc. So this is not new. They have been decieved to think that if they pray to something that they made, it is better than praying to the one and only God, Jesus Christ.
And religion, well, religion is man made. Each religion is a set of rules, rituals, and traditions made up by man to try to please God. Instead of pleasing God the way God has said, man makes up his own way to do it.
God said to 'Love God and love your neighbor" that is it.
If you love God, you will do what He says. If you love your neighbor, you will want him to spend eternity in heaven with God and will tell about what God did to save him.
You will humble yourself, pray, praise, worship and love God.

The comical thing is, many so called atheists seem to be flocking to this. Parody, or not. So much for not believing in any Gods.

I can't believe FSM is getting so much attention, I thought the rage was over in mainstream society.

Pastafarianism is not a real religion. It is a spoof.
