Will attending a Driver Improvement class in Loudoun County, Va stop a ticket from showing on your license?

Our son has received his first traffic ticket and we're wondering if attending a Driver Improvement class prior to going to court will help him and stop the ticket from being applied to his license.

It would depend on the VA DMV rules. In Florida, taking the class removed the points from the license and also prohibited the insurance companies from using the violation to raise rates. Check your DMV office or perhaps their website.
