I mean if i stop consuming the protein supplement for weight training

They will degenerate and it will make you sick not to eat protein; your whole body needs it. What do you think your heart's made out of? I'll give you a hint: it isn't cartilage. Most of your internal organs are made of muscle, so don't stop taking protein.

if you stop exercising and consuming protein at the same time then whole body protein turnover will decrease and you will not lose much muscle over the short or long term. if you keep exercising and stop consuming protein you will lose a significant amount of muscle mass over time as your body would now have a negative nitrogen balance.

I would think they would degenerate and you would starve to death. It is difficult to stop consuming protein unless you stop eating. Even vegetarians get some protein in their diets.

muscle need protein to remain the way they are and to grow stronger. why would you stop eating protein any way? Your body needs it to be healthy!
