...knowing he was going to send people there?

Especially if people didn't believe because there was no real proof?? That seems like a crappy reason to torture someone in hell forever to me. If he gave us hardcore evidence, and people still said screw it, I could maybe see him banishing those people. But as things stand now, why? Does anyone know or have an opinion or thought on this?

God created hell for Lucifer and the fallen angels. You on the other hand have a choice to either accept the sacrifice he made for you at the cross in the person of jesus ,but if you choose to reject his sacrifice you have no one to blame but yourself .If you are still alive you still have a escape option which is accepting jesus and acknowledging his sacrifice for you ,but for some people thats not good enough . Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to understand .There is also a mental state of hell that people create for themselves by making stupid or just plain bad choices a whole lot of those people are in prison figuratively and literally .The figurative hell is something that you can get out of by choosing to make better desisions
but people don't want to take responsibility for the choices that they do or do not make so it's easier for them to blame god and to be candid with you I refuse to live in hell and then turn around and have to spend eternity in hell.
Believe me when I tell you if you think a figurative hell is bad that does not compare to what you have to deal with in literal hell and the difference is the literal hell has no escape and being a great person makes it ten times worse. Its not the work that you do that matters its what god did through Jesus that matters because Jesus was the only perfect human being to ever live and we would never measure up even if we tried so why try at all.

It has little to do with torture and more to do with faith. What you do in life will echo into eternity...which is why the day of judgement should turn out to be a good show (sure, I will be adding to the show with my own life, but I am looking gonna be watching the show of the Self-righteous Televangelist, as they should be in for quite the surprise). The point is, in life those who chose themselves over God will be given that in eternity as well. So they will spend eternity outside of God's love and grace. There are varying depictions of hell in the Bible, so locking down just one reality is a bit hard, but one common theme exists..the occupants will be removed from God for eternity. Hardcore evidence for anything just doesn't exist anywhere. People will give excuses and reasons not to believe what they choose not to believe, so there is not convincing someone just by hardened facts. Germans within Nazi Germany saw Jews killed in the streets and people being carted away from their families and thought nothing about..simply explained the reality and truth away. Heck, there are people who still don't believe we landed on the moon...claiming it to be a big hoax. So you can't force anyone to believe in something they don't want to.

I think there are some christians who believe that even though a good person may die an atheist (or a heathen) they will go to Hell.

God is all about testing. We get the info from the bible and that is all the evidence we need. Those people who reject him are rejecting hardcore evidence (the bible) and therefore go to Hell.

I'm not sure if I really think this... but I guess it makes sense.

The Quran is the understand Allah. only persist with it. we will not in all likelihood be one hundred% specific related to the Hadith. the concern with Muslims at present is that all of us believes he's a poet. They communicate approximately Hadith as though they have been there in the process the existence of the prophet. The Quran in specific says that the e book is the only actual coaching. additionally submit to in innovations Muslims are actually not spectacular human beings, they're only like all of us else. they have the habit of exagerating memories. So be careful. To be on the secure edge, only persist with the Quran. stable night, and God bless all humanity.

Seminaries have semester-long classes on this question; honestly, you're not going to get a very good answer in this forum ... because even a seminary professor couldn't answer in the space provided, much less some moron like me.

My "opinion" is that God tries very hard to help people into heaven, and people have to really, really work at it in order to avoid heaven -- go to hell, if you will. As for "evidence," well, that's what "faith" is for.

God DID NOT create hell for people.....it was created for Lucifer (Satan) and 1/3 of the Angels that followed. God gives humans free will and that's why there is rejection for him. If you want proof, God shows it to people who believe.

The standard Christian theological argument is that god is interested in an end product, souls. Those who end up in hell are part of a process which culminates in a few good ones getting salvation. So while god wants you to be good/accept jesus.... whatever.... and yes he knows some won't make the cut.

Of course opinions vary. As an atheist, myself, I don't recommend such nonsense.... but there it is.

because He is holy, and we are not- all of us deserve hell- God could have not made heaven a choice, and we would have gotten exactly what we deserve- however BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE- Jesus died on the cross, so that our sins could be forgiven, and we could have a personal relationship with God forever. He proves His existence every day- look around, it is our eyes that choose not to see-

Hell was created for the angels who thought they could be just as all powerful as God. Since then, they've been trying to get people to join their kingdom, and doing a pretty good job at it!
