only the manufactures of Special K would say it was healthy as it surely is not. it is highly processed and provides very little nutrients despite what the label may claim. to the body it's not much more than various forms of sugar with a tiny bit of protein from the milk that you use. if optimum health is your goal and staying lean then you would consume processed cereals minimally. medical studies have shown a direct link between the glycemic index of foods that people consume with their body composition (amount of muscle and fat).

whole oatmeal is a healthy cereal, Special K is not

There's nothing wrong with eating cereal, especially for breakfast. But when you replace a lunch and dinner meal with cereal, then I think there's a problem. Just try to reduce your cereal meals.

to much of anything is not good, you need a balanced diet of protiens, fresh fruits and veg. limit your carbs, they only make you gain weight.
