LOL, this comes from an ol' wives tale, it isn't true per say, because cats tend to sleep with their owners people tend to make up all type of stories. I heard one years ago that warned that a cat would kill my baby for the milk they could smell. I have had cats all my life and my cats never even got close enough to my babies to kill them let alone smell them. But did warn me when there was a problem once. And thank God the cat was there.
Don't believe everything you hear and nothing you can't prove.

No you just heard some dumb urban legend c***. The old wives tale was that babies could be suffocated by the family pet. The cat smells milk on the babies breath and gets all in its little face and the baby can't breath and dies.
The only real threat from cats toward babies is when a woman is pregnant. Pregnant women should not clear out litter boxes. Cats have a viral illness that they carry. It is transmitted through their feces. If an expectant Mom contracts this illness it can cause birth defects or some kind of fatal illness that affects babies. Sorry, I don't remember the name, but the rest of my information is accurate.
The bottom line is that no matter how much we love cats they are animals. Animals can be unpredictable and as such we must be careful to never underestimate them or push the limits with them or the resultant problems will be our fault, not theirs.

My grandma said they could attack your jugular, thinking it was a mouse. She also had a farm and farm cats, and the only two allowed in the house were siamese. Go figure.
Cats will attack small moving objects, will curl up next to something warm and they shed fur. Any one of these things or a number of other actions could cause an accident, so it's probably a safe warning not to allow babies and small animals to sleep close together.
Cats stealing your breath is an Urban Legend, and anyone who's read/seen Stephen King's Cat's Eye knows they really PROTECT children from breath stealing goblins. OK, one cat, and it saves Drew Barrymore 3 times, but still . . .

No. When cats love someone they tend to want to be close to them, but certainly would not seek to do harm. When cats don't like a person they will usually just stay away from them.
There are a lot of strange stories about cats circulating out there. These stories are garbage. Ignore them.
Oh and all of the Siamese I have known have been exceptionally loving, affectionate cats.

Yes, it is true Siamese cats kill their owners in their sleep. No one has ever managed to live more than a week with a Siamese in the house. They suck the breath out of sleeping people. Once you get a Siamese kitten as a pet you have to try to keep awake. Some owners stitch back their eyelids but sleep gets them in the end and then their lives are over.

Even though people say Dogs have masters and Cats have employees. Cats do recognize who their owners are. My cat sleeps with me every night right next to my face or on my back. He even sleeps on my fiance's face or on top of his head. Cats love to cuddle and find somewhere warm when they are going to bed. One, your warm. Two, she knows you. Three, she's happy. Sorry about the clawing -- but cats always claw at their spots to make it more comfortable for them -- shake her off next time -- she'll start getting the point.

Oh, no... You have been told a fib.
The best cat I have ever owned was a Siamese cat. My kids used to dress her up and take her for walks in their strollers.
Cats are not like dogs. They don't jump up and down and lick you all over but they can be your best little friend.

I have heard the story but I think it is just an urban legend. I have seen or heard any real proof that it's true.
