My angel is 20 today! She works full-time and is a college student. What type of gifts do you think she'd most appreciate? Should I just go with cash? Thanks :)

It's childish to ask for suggestions, Miguel? Damn. Who knew?

She has an apartment with her fiance, lazarus, and right now his father is visiting. I'm pretty sure she doesn't want another parent around - lol! I so want to get her something perfect; she very much deserves it!

cash is always best for a college student for sure. I woud get a nice funny singing card and also a card that says how much you love her with the cash. If you really wanna do it nicely, I would take her out to eat with you and the family... or just you. That would be a great time to present the cards and money to her. Put the money in the funny card. You dont want anything to distract her from the sentimental one. Also, make sure you recognize and acknowledge the fact that she may want to spend a little time with a friend or so today as well. Enjoy your day today with your angel.

hey zilla-if she lives at college and not at home a visit-not a surprise one kids are funny about that-complete with some good food-home cooking isnt available at most colleges and eating out gets boring and expensive-tell her congrats and keep up the good work---smile and enjoy the day
then in that case if you can afford it give her the same amount of money as she makes in a day at work-talk to her boss about a day off and tell her its for the two of them to celebrate her birthday in the best way-that she would remember long after any gift wore out

If your "angel" is 20, then you must be at least pushing 40. You are adult enough to make your own decisions now, you know. Stop acting like such a child. Do you need your father to make this decision for you?
P.S. Buy her a Ferrari.
You missed my point, Asker. Why ask for suggestions from mere mortals about what God
would want to give your daughter for her birthday? You say she's an atheist. She'd probably ask you what God's got to do with it.

Love. Write her a letter telling her how proud you are of her and how special she is to you. Take her to dinner at her favorite restaurant and talk to her about whatever she wants to talk about. Take her shopping and buy her what she wants if you want to buy her something but in the long run, what God wants you to give her is what she needs most...time, attention, and most of all love!

I don't think you'll want to give her what God would want, because that would probably involved slaying a goat and making her marry some 70 year old.
iTunes or MP3 gift certificate! :)
