It appears to me that these man made society's are for the personal gain of its members & not to glorify God as we are told. Many are judges, lawyers, politicans,& bussinessmen that are in positions where they can do a lot of harm or a lot of good whichever they decide its kinda scary.

If religion (any variety) was perfect and all people adhered to their teachings of morality, love and peace there would be no purpose to any such group.

However, we are human and have frailties and hence seek a variety of places to make ourselves better.

Don't forget, not to play point counter point, that the God created Catholic Church has been protecting pedophiles for decades if not centuries, at least in the USA. It is these types of hypocracies within religion that cause people to search elsewhere.

Also, please don't lump freemasonry in with skulls, bilderbergs, etc... they are not the same at all.

Freemasonry was not created for the benefit of its members; in fact it teaches its members to be in awe of God's majesty.

to some other responses:

* freemasons are not evil, most I know are Christian
* freemasonrywatch.org is the largest single collection of lies about masonry on the internet, some of what they write is truly disgusting and none of it comes from freemasonry --- what kind of sick "religious" folks are they creating such things and spreading lies and hate???
* the freedoms you have, particularly in the USA, are because of the freemasons

I have read some of the comments on here about the masonic lodge...skull and bones...etc. I don't think you should be answering if you don't know any true facts about them. I don't know much about the skull and bones and the belderbergs so I wont comment on them. But I do know about the Masonic Lodge. My dad and my grandfather are masons and deacon's at the Baptist church we attend. The masonic lodge is based on god and christian beliefs. As far as there beliefs go its not any different than the ladies group at our church. They believe in god. They also do alot of volunteer work that most people no nothing about. Not to mention the shrine hospitals for children (you have to be a mason before you can be a Shriner). Check out the Deceleration of Independence almost half of the men that signed it were masons.

I joined the Freemasons because I wanted to be part of tradition, like my grandfather and others before. Nothing suspicious or evil about that. Freemasons are very good people.

Your reasoning doesn't hold up. There are a lot of people who are NOT Freemasons. What is your explanation if they do something you don't like?

You need to also add the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), which is also similar to Bilderbergs and Illuminati. They are all considered "king makers" because those who belong are wealthy and in prominent positions throughout the country and the world. In fact, no person will gain the Oval Office without being a member of the CFR. And that's some pretty scary stuff!

I have done a little reading about these groups. Mostly Skull and Bones and Freemasons.

This morning I have been looking in www. freemasonry watch.org .

These organizations are headed up by powerful groups of wealthy people with some strange works and thinking. The mafia seems to possibly be involved. They also appear to be evil and against God. They need to be watched.
